This is a fantastic FireWire 800 to 400 adapter. The construction is excellent, it feels sturdy - like I'll be able to use it regularly without issues, even throwing it in my backpack everday. I bought this to connect my external FireWire 400 drives to my new MacBook Pro which only has a FireWire 800 port. The thing I like about this adapter over many others is that there is a cable between the two ends - this means there isn't one long & inflexible converter + plug connected to your computer, a major plus for anyone whose looking for portability and compactness.
The packaging is also fantastic. Just the right amount. Also, I'm a huge fan of design AND function, and moshi did a nice job making the adapter LOOK nice and function well. Just plug it in and it works, while still looking attractive at the same time.
