Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Monster PGL400 CVAA-10 Component Video with RCA Audio Cable Kit (10 feet)Customer Review: I Got This For A Good Deal of $1.03 off of ebay! Summary: 5 Stars
I read some of the reviews about this component cable from the other Monster Cable GL400 for PS2 (the one without the audio cable) and bought this one cause I didn't want to have to invest in a seperate audio cable. I also look to ebay first cause there was no way I was about to pay $60.00 for only a video cable, that's ludacris. Found this on ebay bidding at $.98 cents waited til the time went down and out bid a bidder and got it for just $1.03 + $5.00 shipping. Arrived in two days from UPS, hooked it up, at first it wasn't getting good picture I thought I had bought a bad cable but just like some of the comments that was mentioned about this cable, the connector is a bit loose when plugged into the back of the AV port of the PS2, but it was nothing that a little bread twist tie couldn't fix. Rapped the tie around the monster cable and power cord on the PS2 :-D The picture is really crisp and clear with this cable, it probably would look 10x as better if I had the progressive scan model PS2 so maybe I will get that soon.

Monster Cable PGL400 CVAA-10 GameLink
When I first bought this cable I hooked it up immediately and had no problems connecting the cables (unlike several other reviews). I then proceeded to turn on my PS2 and it sounded normal but I could only see a black screen. I tried unplugging and replugging the cables with no luck. I read some reviews saying others had experienced the same issue and I panicked. I decided to call Monster and they told me to plug the regular composite cables back in and turn on the PS2 with no game in it. In the settings menu I changed the video output to y pb pr and then WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE PS2 I swapped the cables and it worked perfectly. Since then the video has looked amazing and if anyone just bought a widescreen TV and is wondering whether or not to buy this cable... BUY IT! The difference is amazing.
Customer Review: Great for those with an HD tv. Summary: 5 Stars
I had previously been using generic component cables on a conventional 32" tv, and my ps2 looked fine. Once I moved to a 40" hd samsung however, the noise picked up by the thin, barely shielded wires drove me nuts. I (like most of you probably) didnt relish parting with $60.00 for cables, but did it anyways. First let me say, I agree with some of the other reviews that say the monster rca connectors can be a bit TOO tight of a fit. As an electronics guy I know that you should turn them as you push them on, but even with a screwing motion, I still was afraid of pushing the jacks on my tv in. The other end fit easily into my ps2 though. once past that however, and let me say the difference was impressive. AND I WAS ALLREADY USING COMPONENT CABLES!! The thick shielding and quality do make a difference, and for those of you moving to hd big screens this holiday, this is worth the cash. Just use care when you connect!
Customer Review: My take on this issue Summary: 5 Stars
I've had my PS 2 for over 5 years now, and when I first got it, I did'nt hesitate to pick up one of these cables, they work perfectly, the connection to the back of the PS 2 is very secure and (contrary to what some other people say)it does fit correctly, so what if the cables are tight on the back of your TV, are you connecting & disconnecting the cables repeatedly..?, I don't think the average person does that, but thats my oppinion and to the person whose picture was wavering & changing to different colors, you should get your TV examined, that sounds like an issue with the TV and neither the cable or the PS 2, all-in-all, I think the cable is great and once the PS 3 comes out, I won't hesitate to pick up another one of these fine cables.
Customer Review: What a difference. Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using a PS2 on a 36" Tube TV using the plug that originally came with the PS2 (Yellow, White & Red). After receiving the product I installed the cables to the back of the TV (Composite connections). It was pretty tight (I recommend wiggling & twisting it instead of trying to just jam them on) but that is a good thing because I have experienced with loose connects and they come off when the TV is moved. After getting all connections on and secured I turned on the PS2 with Guitar Hero Smash Hits. Right away I noticed the brightness and clarity. Plus when the Lyrics came on the screen it was much clearer and easier to read. I recommend these cables for those who need clarity in their games.
