As advertised by Monster these are full range cables. I am substituting these for some Bryston "high end" cables that cost more than twice as much. The Brystons were clear but didn't deliver as much bass or midrange as I would have prefered. The M850I has better balance in my opinion. Further, I don't get treble harshness which is the bane of cheap stuff. The only drawback is the rather long burn-in period. I had to play these for over 100 hours for them to get constant. Right out of the box they have a somewhat brittle tonality.

The upshot is that these are a good investment for $80. Try these first before spending a lot more on something else.
