Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Monster Home Series LCD PowerProtect, 2 outlets, White (HS MP AVFL200)Customer Review: Ok, but not all that pratical Summary: 5 Stars
Takes up a lot of space off the wall....requireing more set back from the wall.
Customer Review: Very satisfied Summary: 5 Stars
This is a good looking useful surge protector for my LCD TV in the bedroom.
Customer Review: Exactly what I needed; 2 drawbacks Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted a surge protector for my wall-mounted flat panel TV without the long strip and power cord that would be an eye sore. This product is great b/c it's very compact; it's essentially the size of a wall outlet. The fact that you can run the cable wire through it is an added bonus. As other people have pointed out there are 2 drawbacks. 1) you can only plug this into the top outlet which renders the bottom outlet useless. 2) If you want to mount a TV to the wall with a slim profile, this product probably won't work b/c it's too thick, especially when you factor in the depth of the TV's power cord. For what I needed, this was perfect but it won't work for everybody.
Customer Review: Perfect for a small LCD set-up Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this with an LCD TV and I have to say it is perfect and does the job pretty well. It also has a small light on it to notify you of the condition. Monster products are somewhat over-priced but I went with it since it was obvious I got a quality product and it looks nice as well.
Useful tips,
Before plugging this in the outlet, make sure you use the plugs to open them up. Otherwise you will end up forcing them while this is plugged in and cause it to short circuit.
Customer Review: Nice Idea Summary: 4 Stars
My wall mounted HDTV was unprotected until I found this item. It is a nice idea. It plugs into the top outlet. A plastic peg plugs into the ground hole of the bottom outlet. It is a little wider than I would like. I have a quad outlet and although I can still use the other two outlets, I can no longer use them for power transformers. Also it is longer than the outlet by 2 inches and will interfere with anything installed below the oulet.
