Why suffer with RCA video cables anymore? There is a better way to hook your game system up and it's with S-Video. I don't know all the techno babble and why S-Video is better. All I can tell you though is it is. The picture looks a lot better throught S-video than it does through a coax link or RCA cables. There are a couple of different brands of the cables you can get out there, but I'm impressed with these. The long 10 feet cables are great and sturdy. It has gold connectors which are suppose to help give a better picture.This is the best way to view your video game system. It's clear and crisper and provides a slightly better gaming experience. This brand of cables is kind of pricey, but is suppose to be one of the best. Just hook up on S-Video and enjoy.

I know that if you are looking into getting these cables, you are mostly likely just interested in using them for Gamecube. BUT, were you aware that these cables are fully functional with N64 as well as SuperNES? Up until the Wii, Nintendo never change the A/V connector on the back of there systems. (Except NES, it used mono standard RCA style A/V output) I am using these cables not for my Gamecube, but for my N64 nd SuperNES, and it looks GREAT. Well, as great as old school systems can look, you'd be amazed what the old cable antena connection signal hid, it almost blurred it into looking better, lol. What I am saying is if you are serious old school gamer and a videophile, your going to want to consider these cables.Customer Review: works great

Im actually using this for my old Super Nintendo. I wanted something to give me a better picture and S-video was the way to go. Unfortunatly, the vast majority of the ones you see out there are cruddy 3rd party ones that are very poor quality. Since this is old i got it at a good price. Monster cables are great quality, but way overpriced.
Since the official s-video cables impossible to find anymore this is probably the next best thing at a reasonable price! The picture is great,a nd my old games are crisp with well defined lines and vivid colors

This is a great s-video cable for the Gamecube (havent tried it on N64 yet). I use this cable for my Gamecube when I play Super Smash Bros. Melee competitively and its got a great picture. Only two problems I have with it are it's kind of lengthy and......its purple.... black or blue would be cool. Considering Component cables for GC are not sold anymore. These are the best cables for your gamecube. The Graphics look noticeably better then composite on a HDTV. Sound is also vastly improved, also very noticeable.
Great product, and worth it if you have an HDTV.
