Customer Review: Incredible Mouse - while it worked
Summary: 5 Stars

My father has a mouse like this for his laptop and it works very well, so, when I decided to get a notebook, I bought one of these too. IT TOTALLY ROCKS!!! Just plug in the wireless receiver and you're ready to go. Wireless networks don't interfere with performance and niether does another Microsoft Optical 3000. I did have a little interference with a Logitech wireless mouse, but that's only when you're using them right beside to each other. It never loses signal, is very small, but works very well, and you can turn it off by simply putting the receiver securely underneath the mouse.

Update: After about 6 months of flawless performance, it no longer worked. I always took excellent care of it, never dropped it, never shook it, nothing. I replaced with the Logitech V220 Cordless Notebook Mouse - Red which is superior in feel, weight, smoothness, ease of use. I give this mouse 3 stars.

Update: About 8 months after it quit on me, I decided to try it again on a whim. It started working again as soon as I plugged in the receiver. It now gets 4 stars even though I do prefer the Logitech V220 Cordless Notebook Mouse - Red.

I am using this mouse on a new DELL Precision 6400.

This mouse works by plugging in its antenna into a USB port (before logging is - 1st time only) and does not require a new driver. I purchased this mouse configuration over a Blue Tooth because it seemed to me to be easier to use - just plug the antenna into a USB port and go. I was told that the Blue Tooth mouse required to be configured every time you turned on the computer - this maybe very ease and convent also, but I am an Old Dog and the mechanical appealed to me.

Pro
I can't compare this mouse to a Blue Tooth mouse (as I have not used a Blue Tooth mouse) but I found this wireless mouse to be very convent and easy to use. A neat feature is that when you logoff, you can unplug the antenna and store it on the underside of the mouse, which also turns off the mouse laser - thus saving the battery.

Con
After using it for two months I found the laser to not turn on sometimes after I removed the antenna from the underside of the mouse. However by re-inserting the antenna and then removing it the laser and mouse turned. This may be caused by my battery getting low, but cannot say for sure as I have yet to replace the battery.

I hope this helps those looking at the mouse for the 1st time.

Customer Review: Best Notebook Mouse I've Ever Had
Summary: 5 Stars

I really love this mouse. I picked it up for my personal laptop, but now I end up using it for my work laptop when I'm out of the office since it's so much more comfortable than the mouse I had for that. I don't use it every day, maybe once a week, but it's been working just fine for maybe three years now and shows no signs of wearing out.

The range on the transmitter is quite good, at least two to three feet away so it doesn't matter what USB port I use. I've never had any kind of lagging while moving my mouse pointer. It's just as fast as a mouse I plug in. The mouse comes out of standby instantly on its own when you move it slightly, so there's no hitting a button to wake it up. Battery life is very good for a single AA battery. I think I've only changed it a few times since I've had it. The transmitter fits neatly into the bottom of the mouse to turn it off when storing it.

I really can't say anything bad about the unit. The only reason I don't use it as my main mouse is that it's obviously a little smaller than a desktop mouse would be. It's still very comfortable to use and feels good in my hand even using it all day. If they're still selling them, I'll definitely replace my old one with the same thing when it finally does break.

Customer Review: Can't say anything bad about it.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of any

Well this is going to be short and to the point, after all we are talking about a mouse. This is an EXCELLENT microsoft product. Im not a microsoft fan by any stretch of the word blowing sunshine up their software rear end ( I will never forgive them for Windows Vista ) but I have to give credit where credit is due.
There is nothing bad I can say about this mouse. It is wireles, very quick and responsive. Perfect design for the hand. I imagine it is perfect for the ladies and myself since I do not have large, ape-like hands. Battery life is incredible. I have been on the same battery ( one double A ) since I bought it and that was over a year ago and I have left it connected overnight many times. The USB connector clips on the bottom of the mouse for travel so no worries about misplacing it. When not in use it must be clipped on or you will waste battery life but like I said before, I have done that more than once and a year later no signs of slowing down.
If you are looking for a stylish, well designed, wireless mouse that fits in your shirt pocket with AMAZING battery life, look no further. You have found it.

Customer Review: Smart little thing by microsoft
Summary: 5 Stars

I decided to get this wireless optical mouse when I got my laptop. Although I have used many optical mice before, but the wired connection always caused problems. I thought wireless could be slightly better, but I was surprised to find this HUGE difference. Not only you don't have to worry about tangled wires, but also you get MUCH greater sensitivity and also you don't have to worry about desk space. This little thing will respond even if you move it on your lap!

Set up could'nt be easier! Just put the provided battery in the right place and plug the receiver and click! It's working. Battery life is great, I can still notice no difference after nearly 2 month of continuous use. And when you snap the receiver in place, the mouse turns off automatically. Size is a little bit small, but as far as I'm concerned, that's more a blessing than a disadvantage. I have fairly large hands, but the design of the mouse makes it very easy to fit in.

One thing I didn't like in the beginning, although now I'm used to it. The little wheel (which acts like a third mouse button when pressed) is too sensetive, you can open links in new tabs just by mistake!
