I received my wireless mouse today, right on the expected shipping date! Everything was included: mouse, battery, USB receiver. You don't have to contact Microsoft for any software....it's plug and play I guess, all I did was insert the battery in the mouse, plug in the receiver and it worked! (I have a laptop) It's a pleasure to get rid of a corded mouse, the less cords, the better! Going wireless tomorrow with broadband, so can eliminate 25 ft of cable running to a spare bedroom lol! This mouse is a little smaller than a standard mouse I think, but it's super easy to use and the smaller size is cool!! Mostly you rest your fingers on it anyway...do you really need it all the way to your wrist? I got the apple green...love it (just like a frosty lime green)!
The packaging is another story...it did not come in the easy open packaging it stated.....but the older clam shell bullet proof hard plastic that is virtually a shoplifter's nightmare!! Took me 40 minutes to get into it.......tried everything, and finally used a box cutter to cut down the side and pull the product out the slit. Geeeeeeezzzzzzz, I even cut my stomach on the hard plastic that chipped off while I was holding it against my body to try and pull it apart. If you have access to the "jaws of life" from a nearby fire department..that would be perfect!!
Anyway...I love the mouse....get it....have a party and give out a prize to whoever can open it without a gun or instrument of some kind! ha ha but have bandaids ready!!

I've used the mouse for about one month and am highly pleased with it. It's precise and works well with my laptop. When not in use, the dongle clips onto the underside of the mouse and turns off the battery, a nice touch. It feels good to the hand. The only complaint I have is that if no windows are open (only the desktop is active) and the dongle is plugged into a USB port on the laptop, it prevents the screensaver from kicking in (Vista Premium is installed on the laptop). But if, for example, a web browser window is open the screensaver does kick in. Weird! That's not a huge deal for me. I would buy this again if I need another mouse (great price, too).Customer Review: Excellent Mouse

I'm very happy with this particular mouse. When reviewing the reviews, I noted that some people complained about jerkiness of the wheel and inconsistency of usage.
I had a problem at first too, but the issue was that the receiver was too far from my tower. I bought a cable, put the receiver close to my keyboard and now the mouse works perfectly.
I never saw or missed that the distance between mouse and receiver was 3 ft.
I like the size as I didn't want a big mouse. It's easy to just slide around. I highly recommend this product.

I've had this mouse for a a little less than a year and a half now and it's worked perfectly ever since. The AA battery lasts for months and it's smooth like a mouse ought to be. Cheap too; it's nothing fancy but it works like a charm.
Only flaws might be that when I move around the laptop, sometimes the mouse will lose connection and I'll have to unplug/plug back in the USB connector; when I drop it, the battery casing flies off and so do the batteries.

I purchased this item as a recommendation from a friend - she has had hers for years and it continues to be a very dependable accessory for her. When I received it, I plugged it in and started using it - no hassles of installation. I think it is wonderful! It only requires one "AA" battery that is 'disabled' when the USB adapter is placed in the crevice on the bottom of the mouse. It conveniently travels in the laptop case as one piece - it is wonderful!
