Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 - RedCustomer Review: Love The Smaller Size Summary: 5 Stars
There are several things to love about this mouse. First of all, the smaller size, which is a wonderful quality when you have smaller hands like I do. Less hand strain too.
You can set up your mouse so that the wheel in the center magnifies what you are looking at, which I did. I also love that at the base of the wheel there is a back button.
I like that you have your choice of colors as far as the mouse goes. I picked red, which is a deep kind of metallic color red.
The mouse comes with this little dohickey that plugs into your USB port, which I have mine plugged into my USB port on the front of my tower. When Iam done with my computer and shut it off, I just put the dohickey under my mouse, which there is a space for that, which supposedly extends your battery life. I like how this mouse just uses one AA battery. The other ones I've had have used two.
I haven't had this mouse that long to see how long the battery actually lasts. Other mice I've had I think I've had to replace the batteries about every month or so.
The only negative I can see is don't lose the dohickey or else your mouse will not work. I dropped it one day, and since the piece is so small it wasn't that easy to find. They should have made the mouse so it would still work if you did not have that part. So, you need it to save on your battery use, and to use the mouse itself.
My computer is a Dell Desktop from 8/2004, with Windows XP and it does work.
I wasn't sure at first since it's called a Mobile Mouse if it would work since my computer is stationary, not mobile. I checked the specifics, and it looked like it would work with what I have. It does.
This is my first Microsoft Mouse. My other wireless mice were Logitec. Iam glad I bought this mouse. It has alot of good qualities. My favorite one is, at least for me, less hand strain, since Iam on my computer alot, and was suffering from Carpal Tunnel, as well as arthritis.
If I ever need another mouse I would not hesitate to buy this same item again, maybe in another color, which it's always nice if you can personalize things, even if it's something small like a mouse.
A winner in my book!
