I was concerned about buying a wireless mouse, but my concerns are over. It works perfectly and set up was non-existent... just plug and play. I love the stylish purple option and the rubber on each side for a good grip. If you've had a larger mouse, this small one might be a bit of a surprise, but it's no hindrance to performance or ease of use. If you're looking for a lot a bells and whistles (back button, etc.) this mouse does not have that. But I wasn't, so I'm extremely satisfied. I also like that you can remove the USB antenna and put it on the bottom of the mouse, which powers the mouse down and saves battery power. Its size makes it very portable and when I'm working from home, my reclining sofa is my desk and the mouse even works well using my sofa as a mousepad. =)
I bought this for work, but will be buying one (and a wireless keyboard to match, if they have one) for my home computer too.

I had a Microsoft Wireless mouse previously,but my Golden Retriever sat down on the USB stick and caused it to crash.I replaced it with an HP similar type and had all kinds of issues connecting and/or staying connected.They send a replacement,but it also was erratic in performance.I finally gave up and went back to this one.
I haven't had a single problem since.It connected within seconds and has done the job ever since--and I use it several hours each day between my upstairs "cave" and my downstairs office.Going back and forth,I've had it slip off the laptop and drop to the floor several times,but it just continues to work fine.I've had other mouses crash if you just look at them the wrong way.
Everything wears out over time,but,if this one does die some day in the future,I'll replace it with the same model--or the Microsoft model available at that time.

I was excited about ordering this item because of the price and the look of it on the page. I am very pleased with the feel of it, the easy of the scroll button, etc. It even feels good with the side grips. When you are done, you store the usb stick in the bottom so the batteries aren't used up. I have another wireless from GE you can't turn off so you have to take a battery out (it takes two batteries) to keep them from burning out. What a pain that was and the usb broke off in my laptop so I had to force it out with a pc screwdriver! So when I got the microsoft brand the first thing I did was check the usb stick and it is very solid.
I shy away from anything microsoft, and have done so for years. But they are stepping up with things. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a midsized wireless mouse. Don't go for the tiny ones!

I purchased this Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 (Purple) six months ago, and it's been Fantastic! Just plug it into the USB port and you're ready to go. No fuss.
I've only had to change the battery three times since I've owned it. Admittedly, I buy cheap batteries at the Dollar Store and never check the expiration dates but having to change batteries isn't a big dear for me. I always have a spare one on hand.
It's very easy to use, looks great, and I love the various color choices. I've had no problems with it and don't expect to. I bought one for my father three months ago, and he loves it, too.

This mouse is fantastic. Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 - Slate It's size is carpel tunnel friendly. I had to buy a new wireless keyboard and even though I had this mouse, I bought the combo, (keyboard,mouse). Set it all up, tried using the new mouse for about 5 minutes and threw it in the bottom of the desk drawer. Every movement you need to make with a mouse is right at the top, easy to use. No need to use side buttons. AND it's inexpensive.
