By far the best Wireless Network Adapter for the XBOX. Microsoft is starting to release more peripherals for their beloved console and this rates at the top of the list. Utilizing the 802.11G standard, it provides the most bang for the buck. Yes, it is more expensive, if you have to invest in the Router and the N.I.C., it could get more expensive then the XBOX itself. Truth be told, quality wireless isn't cheap, but it is worth it. Now if they could only release a Wireless Controller that supports the LIVE Headset.Customer Review: Purchased for my original xbox. Works great with my 360 Elite

I had originally purchased this for my Xbox about five years ago. I got the Elite and hadn't hooked it up yet and had been looking online for a wireless adapter when I found this one in a box. I don't know why I hadn't expected it to be compatible but I held my breath as I hooked it up.
It works like a charm and is pretty much invisible to my day to day use. I rarely notice it except at night when I turn off the lights. "Oh yea" I say as I see the green blinky lights and recall the money I saved.

I purchased the Microsoft mn-700 wireless g router along with this Xbox wireless g adapter. Xbox is one floor below the router. After a quick set up of the router, I was up and running on Xbox live in minutes. Works awesome absolutely no lag time...I also was able to detach it from my Xbox plug it in the Ethernet port of a pc in another room (that wasn't on the network) and had instant Internet access without any extra configuration.
I recommend you forget about wires and go wireless!

i realllllly want xbox live (but i dont have an xbox). I'm thinking seriously about purchasing an xbox with the xbox live starter kit and a few live games. but i need to know something. if i buy this adapter, what else do i need? if my computer is upstairs and the xbox will be downstairs, do i need this and a wireless router and an adapter for the pc? or just this and a router? or just this? or something more? just purchased this unit. brand new. software worked on xbox 360. all i had to do is go into the xbox 360 settings as followed on xbox.com/support page and follow what they tell you to do. online activity acually runs faster then if i were plugged directly into the modem. a must buy. don't pay for the 360 wireless gaming adapter when you could get this one for at least half off. mine was a little more then 25.00 from walmart. my router i used was the linksys wrt54g wireless-g.
