Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft Wireless-G Xbox AdapterCustomer Review: Microsoft Wireless-G Xbox Adapter Summary: 4 StarsExpensive but it is easy to setup unlike the D-Link adapter that burned itself up in short order. Recommended.
Customer Review: Xbox heaven Summary: 5 StarsIt took us a while to get this hooked up (user error). We had the wrong encryption level set which was causing the error. But now that it is working we are very happy with the product. Signal strength is good even though the modem is upstairs. No dropping of connections.
Customer Review: THE BEST WIRELESS ADAPTER EVER!!!!! Summary: 5 StarsIM JUST GONNA START OUT BY SAYING THIS WAS VERY SIMPLE TO SETUP AND IT WORKS GREAT FOR MY PS2, 360, XBOX, AND EVEN ON A PC. I BOUGHT IT FROM A FRIEND WHO BOUGHT IT FROM AMAZON BECAUSE HIS XBOX IS MODDED AND CANT USE IT. IT NEVER DROPS THE CONNECTION AND MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE A BETTER CONNECTION SPEED THAN THE OTHER PLAYERS ON XBOX LIVE AND PS2 ONLINE. I ALSO HAVE A MILLION OTHER WIRELESS DEVICES IN MY HOME AND THEY DONT INTERFERE AT ALL. YOU MUST HAVE A WIRELESS ROUTER FOR THIS TO WORK THOUGH AND SETUP IS SO EASY A MONKEY COULD DO IT. EXCELLENT PRODUCT, BUY IT IF YOU LIKE ONLINE GAMING.
Customer Review: not that great for the 360 or the original Summary: 2 Starsthe reception on the original xbox was horrible even with a network extender, it was always dropping the connection.
but on the 360 it had one bar but it never dropped a connection, but it was a little lagy
Customer Review: Works as a network bridge too Summary: 4 StarsPlease read all of the comments and then take these points into account as well:
* This can function as a bridge for other devices (i.e. other computers), not just for the Xbox 360 or Xbox. Setup may require an Xbox though (not sure about that). I'm actually writing this review while connecting wirelessly with my laptop using this adaptor as a wireless bridge.
* I've had this for about 3 years (if memory serves correctly), and I am happy with it. I used it on my Xbox for a couple of years and now I use it with my Xbox 360.
* It isn't future proof if you are looking for advanced security (beyond WEP) or looking to upgrade to 802.11n. That's the only reason that I dropped a star.
* You might get a better price using a network bridge (i.e. a general networking product, not one explicitly labeled as a gaming bridge), but this adaptor has better compatibility that the bridges that I've tried. Setup is easy with this product compared to others.
