Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard with USB PortCustomer Review: This is a winnner! Summary: 5 Stars
I received this keyboard today and have had nothing but good experiences with it so far!!
The back light is bright but not offensive; the numberpad/macropad easily switches between sides and removes completely when not needed; macros are easy to program, though the macro programing ui could be a bit better (software complaint - the hardware is great!); and it feels really well made. The different modes makes it easy to turn off buttons that annoy me during game play (windows key, app key) without remapping them or using custom keybinding software (I realize that this came with just such software, but the button on the keyboard itself is much easier!).
All in all I love this thing and can't wait to play more games with it!! If you're in the market for an illuminated gaming keyboard that provides plenty of options, this is the one!

I am glad I purchased this keyboard. I was concerned with the comfort of the palm rest since it is plastic and I was using a padded palm rest. It feels perfectly comfortable so that was no issue. The backlight keys are not overly bright so it works out perfect. I have heard some complaints that this keyboard is loud although I feel that this is completely false. I almost love the sound the keys make so if anything, the sound of the keyboard is a plus. I have not truly utilized all of the macro keys although when Old Republic Online comes out next year, I will surely utilize them. I recommend this to anyone that is ok with a corded keyboard. There really is no need for a wireless keyboard if you never move the keyboard from your desk.
Customer Review: Great buy as far as I'm concerned Summary: 5 Stars
I've gotten this keyboard because of space constraints on my desk. I can disconnect they number pad and fit it comfortably on my small slide out drawer. The red lighting makes it very visible at night. The light does shine out between the keys though this seems to be in common with many other lighted keyboards, with the exception of Razer keyboards. The J, F, and W keys have small bumps on them to give you a tactile feedback as to where your fingers are resting. Keyboard has rubber feet on the back that make it rest securely without sliding around. One drawback is that it is missing the little feet on the back that allow for tilting of the keyboard. Not a deal breaker for me but it migt be for some.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
As soon as I got this I hooked it up and I am LOVING it. I am not a "gamer" per say but I do love to do different things and this keyboard definitly hits all the high spots fr me. I love the fact that you can actually remove things when you really don't need the pesky little things and put them back on if someone wants to use them.
I have had several people try it out and they love it as much as I do. YES YES YES this is a great keyboard.
Customer Review: Great keyboard for the money Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent key feel and weight. Feels sturdy and durable, not a cheap at all. The red glow looks fantastic and really makes it stand out. I got this board for a little under fifty dollars and i would say its worth every penny. I will say that the magnets did worry me a little but now that i have the board it doesnt seem as much of a problem as the previous reviewer has stated. I happen to have a razer mouse which comes in close proximity to the magnets and it works great still.I would think it odd for a company as big as microsoft to put magnets in a keyboard without testing it with mice and other common peripherals, so im not worried.
