Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft SideWinder Gaming MouseCustomer Review: Flawless Summary: 5 Stars
This may be my first gaming mouse, but this thing is awesome. The only real complaints I have heard are the shape of the mouse and how it looks, only the first of which is an argument to rate it bad. Second of all, the shape is something everyone, like myself, has to get used to. I had a mouse shaped like the g5 before (some cheap compaq one)and I picked this up pretty quick, most people will too. People who rate a mouse like this as bad are among the pickiest mouse people in the world, which is fine, but take a bad review with that in mind.
The bottom line is if you're looking for a totally customizable and high quality mouse then go for this. I have zero complaints.
Customer Review: Best Mouse I've ever had. Summary: 5 Stars
I used to have the Microsoft HABU mouse (Made by RAZER) and this one is quite better. Some magazines say it is to big for normal hands but I find the size almost perfect (considering my small hands). The mouse is really ergonomic, it fits perfectly in the hand, and both shoulder buttons are easily accessible, also the 3 button resolution adjustment make so more sense than the up and down used by Razer and Logitech, the small LCD screen also helps. The weight adjustment is perfect, and the changeable pads really puts this mouse in a whole new level. If you are looking for the best gaming mouse you cannot go wrong with this one.
Customer Review: a nice BIG mouse Summary: 5 Stars
well i just bought this mouse today, i had a razer copperhead and this mouse is a lot bigger than my old mouse, but its realy confortable i dont have big hands but i dont feel any pain or something
and i love the features, i use the white mouse feets and its feel very soft when you move it and the box who grap the cable its a cool idea too
the On-the-fly dpi switching feature is realy easy to use and having it is nice to use it, cuz with my old razer it wasnt so easy.
the scroll is wierd to use but im getting useto it
well its like 4.5/5 for me and very nice mouse upgrade.
Customer Review: all thumbs Summary: 5 Stars
The on-the-fly DPI adjustment is sweet, once you get used to it -from soldier -to tank -to gunship in BF2142 for instance -don't notice the cord, but do notice the lack of dosh I have to doll out for batteries vs. a cordless -more for my mp3 player -definitely meant for someone with gargantuan hands -but when used with a wrist gel-type support, the fingers and thumbs are in perfect position -if it only had 3 colors like my KB.....but get it anyway -weights are sweet -have it maxed so sniper shots go for the noggin as planned -not the sproingy boot unlock -d'oh!
Customer Review: Go ahead - it's worth it Summary: 5 Stars
I play a lot of first person shooter games, and this is a great mouse. It replaced a Logitech G7 and was a good trade. Those side buttons are a great idea, and every movable part is light and crisp. The "hump" on the back where your hand lays felt odd for the first few days, but now that I'm used to it, other mice feel strange without it. The mousewheel has a very light touch. Windows recognized it instantly before I'd even loaded the software.
