Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite

Customer Review: Best on the market today
Summary: 5 Stars

I currently own about 10 of these keyboards. I leave them at customer locations so I don't have to type on the built in laptop keyboard when I am on site. This current model is not as robust as the older ones as others have noticed. It is lightweight and travels fairly well. The letters do run off on me within about 6 months of heavy use.

I like the touch on this model better than the black ergonomic from Microsoft (Natural 4000 series). The black ones have a slightly harder press to me, and the gap is a little larger in the middle for the scroll. I personally prefer this model over the black ones.

Customer Review: I love this keyboard!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a medical transcriptionist, and this is the only keyboard I can use. I only wish it came in black. I have tried the 4000 model, but the keys are not "clickey". I can't get used to the soft touch of the 4000 or similar models. I came here to order a "back up" keyboard just in case my current keyboard goes out. I love this keyboard. If I try to use a standard keyboard it feels like my hands are on top of each other. I am in the market for a lap top and will have to get one that I can use with my Microsoft Natural Elite. It sure would look better if the Microsoft Natural Elite were black though.

Customer Review: Ergo at its finest
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used Microsoft ergonomic keyboards for several years, especially since I've had family who had carpal tunnel surgery due to the very issue of typing so much on standard keyboards.

I've tried a few other ergos, but the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite is by far the best of them. I love this particular one due to the feel of the keys, the ease of pressing them without strain, and the way it keeps my wrists just the way I like them for typing. The only thing I wish they would do to enhance it is to offer it in black. Call me overly coordinated, but it would go with the rest of my Dell setup.

Customer Review: I love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm about to purchase a second one of these keyboards only because I love the first one that I got so much and I fear Microsoft discontinuing them for whatever reason they might come up with. I'm a transcriptionist and this keyboard is all I'll use to do my transcription work on. I even pack it in with my laptop and hook it up to the laptop rather than use the onboard keyboard. For the price you're getting the best deal on an ergo keyboard and I prefer it's simplicity to some of the fancier ones that have a scroll wheel and such on the wrist rest where my thumbs go. I'll use this keyboard all day anyday!

Customer Review: An oldie but goodie
Summary: 5 Stars

I went to Amazon to order another MS Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 but happily found this keyboard still available and in black. Forget the 4000, this is a keyboard I have used since at least Windows 98, maybe even 95 and it is still a terrific keyboard. It's smaller than the 4000 so it takes up less desk space but is large enough for guys with big hands to use comfortably. It doesn't have the Smart Keys the 4000 does but I never used those anyway. I connected it to my Windows 7 machine by the USB connection and it was ready to go in seconds. It is attractive, well-made, and light but durable. Buy it!
