I love this little camera! Very easily installed, very easy to use. I use mine with Skype, no problems at all.
Like some other users, I am annoyed by the stupid button on top, because I never use Windows Live Messenger and yet if you accidentally press the button while adjusting the camera the window automatically pops up - but no big deal, I just close the Messenger window and life goes on. :)
Only one futher complaint, and that is that the microphone can't be used separately. I study German online with Livemocha.com, and I thought I could use the microphone to record oral exercises but, alas, I cannot.
All in all, though, for the price of this little guy I'd definitely buy it again. It keeps me in touch with friends around the world. :)

This cam is one of the best I have found with a price tag under three digits.
It produces smooth video when both recording and webcasting. Works great even in low-light conditions. (carries excellent image capture with 120 watts of light at 45 degrees to the left and approximately 10 feet away)
Haven't fully checked out the internal microphone yet, but the one time I used it, it picked up audio very good over a television set in the same room.
Careful when adjusting the vertical angle though, the top is a button to a microsoft chat site, but it allows you to stop it before entering, so it is a minor convenience, if at all.
All in all, a great webcam!

Overall it's a great Cam for the price, Purchased for Friends and family communications, the video was seamless no jerkiness whatsoever, the picture clear and bright on Vista with Windows live and Skype, I use a headset rather than the Cam Mic though so cannot comment on that.
My one gripe is and it bugs me no end... I do not leave the Cam plugged in all the time so when I start up my PC the setup wizard throws two pages up asking me to plug it in everytime, argghhh minor I know.. but if I wanted popups on startup I would configure that way, and I have no clue how to prevent it.. if anyone knows let me know because it's driving me batty. I am tired of people viewing my PC when I start up saying.. Oohhhh you have a cam.. Grrrr

I live 8 hours away from my grandchildren, ages 2 1/2 and 6 months. I wanted them to be able to recognize me and their auntie. I have never bought a more useful, fun, rewarding gift. We use Skype. It is nice to not have to expect a toddler to sit still, and wonderful to see the baby roll over! The camera has good image, good sound, (nice to have an all in one item) especially for the price. I perch my camera on top of my monitor. My daughter has a laptop, and has a more difficult time to putting it someplace stable. An advantage we have found over having a camera in the laptop, is the ability to pick the camera up and aim it to whatever you want to broadcast much more easily.Customer Review: Excellent product, especially for the price!

My daughter moved to England for a few months, and we're keeping two of her dogs for her. She told us about Skype, so my wife and I each bought one of these combination mic/web cameras for our desktop computers. We installed the software quickly, plugged the units into our USB ports, and viola! Instantly we were sharing an online video call with my daughter so she could see and "talk to" her two Shih-Tsu pups! Is it "high definition" quality. Not even close. Is it perfectly adequate for video phone calls. Absolutely. Great little product. Easy to use, excellent sound quality, and we're thrilled with ours. Thank you, Microsoft, for another cool little product!
