Customer Review: Best Gaming Mouse I've Used
Summary: 4 Stars

This is without a doubt the best gaming mouse I've used. I purchased this mouse awhile back and just bought another one this week. This is one of the only mice I've used that fit my hand. I've used the Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 and 7000 but there is always lag with wireless mice. This mouse is insanely sharp and has instant response. I turn up the DPI to MAX and then have the sensitivity around half in the mouse settings. = Perfect gaming mouse for Call of Duty, Age of Empires, and other games I play.

As a long time user of Microsoft keyboards/mice the first rule of thumb: never ever install the software...

Four stars because the scroll wheel, after bout half a year of daily use, goes bad. When you scroll down it goes up and down. The new one I just bought doesn't do this but will eventually I assume. (Yes, you can use the scroll wheel as a click/drag to scroll down/up webpages).

Definitely recommend this mouse - it works and has worked for me for 6+ months.

Customer Review: Good mouse and a software has been fixed by now
Summary: 4 Stars

This is an excellent gaming mouse, for those of you who actually bought it for uses other than browsning the internet. I play UT2k4, which is a rather demanding game in terms of speed and accuracy, and this mouse performs great. The feel is wonderful, and the tracking is great with ultra fast response.

The first incarnation of the software was bugged, but version 2.01 seems to work fine. My only complaint is that I'm unable to permanently disable the scroller light which I find annoying. And so I have to turn it off every time I start my computer.

I've used a number of gaming mice, including MX518, G5 and Copperhead. This bests them all in the sheer comfort and play. However this mouse is only good for right-handers. If you are a lefty, check out the Copperhead instead.

A recent update: I find Razer's Deathadder to be somewhat superior even to Habu.

Customer Review: Only 1 minor flaw
Summary: 4 Stars

About this mouuse, only 1 minor flaw. the one I got has one of the top bottons to change DPI getting stuck inside thhe mouse. It doesnt happen all the time annd also if it fails the normal "click" to perform the action, still perform the action when pressed.

It is really a minor annoyannce and probably is just the model i got. I don't even care to send it back for this, i can live with.

Regarding the 5 profiles, it wouuld be nice to have the software recognizing a game and load the right profile when launnching game. It is my understanding you have to pre-set the profile and then run the game.

As functionality is flawless. Those 2 minor things are the reasoon for my 4 stars.

Customer Review: Good but be careful
Summary: 4 Stars

I had this month little over a month and I loved it, it was comfortable, stylish, good precision... until it broke. For some reason these mice have a hardware problem that causes them to double click after a period of use. I called Microsoft support and after a few email exchanges and they informed me the the Habu had been discontinued and they were replacing them with Microsoft Sidewinder X5s.... and I hate that mouse because it feels like a cheap piece of crap...

So in short, very good mouse until it breaks... then... you're stuck w/ a cheap sidewinder : /

Customer Review: Tough installation, great mouse
Summary: 4 Stars

I read the existing reviews and purchased this device anyway, hoping that the software/driver issues had been resolved. Be warned - they are not. I luckily found a well-written procedure to follow; I never would have figured it out myself. Subsequently, the mouse works fine. It has great response, good weight, and decent feel. The level of customization is superior. I recommend this mouse, just be prepared on the install, and take your time.
