I bought this to stop using the keyboard on my laptop. The software installed flawlessly and my laptop instantly recognized the keyboard (I use Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2).
The keys have a nice touch, and are very responsive. The keyboard itself is well laid out.
The keyboard has five favorite keys that can be customized to open various programs, folders, or files. In addition, you can easily reprogram the keys for My Documents, etc. There are also lots of different function keys.
The volume control buttons(raise,lower,mute) are handy.
The plastic wrist rest is comfortable, and made it unnecessary to buy a separate gel wrist rest.
Unlike some wireless keyboards, I have not had a single problem with any of the keys not functioning as they should. I definitely recommend this.
Update 11/2/07: I just bought a second one since the first one worked so well. The second is just as good.

This is a great keyboard hands down. Comfortable to type and has all the extras I would want. For the price, i expected less quality than what this keyboard actually is. After using it for a number of days, I ended up replacing the keyboard of other computers at home and at work! Great buy, the only surprise is how good it is. A few notes about the product.
All of the extra keys are assignable plus it has 5 'my favorites' keys which are extremely useful. It also has the option to let the function keys do other functions, They can be re-assigned, but nevertheless i do not find them that useful.
The quality is surpassed my expectations, As a whole it feels really solid. All keys are easy to press and reasonably quiet. The plastic used does not feel that cheap.
The zoom slider is rather useless in windows XP. (I am not sure about Vista) it does not work in any of my programs,
Overall a superb keyboard I highly recommend!

My hat is off to Pinecone. The first keyboard I received did not function properly. Alex contacted me and offered to test out another to ensure it worked, and he shipped it out immediately along with a pre-paid return label for the defective keyboard. I just received the keyboard and it is magnificent!! Thank you Alex! After reading the raving reviews about this media keyboard, I was distraught when the original keyboard did not perform. Pinecone has made everything right, and for that they get 5+ stars! Thanks again Alex. If you have media center, don't hesitate to make this purchase. The keys are fluid and soft to the touch. Pictures, music, documents with the touch of just one button. The zoom feature is nice for that small legal print. Messanger is a one touch feature also. This keyboard is a very good value at Amazon's price, and a real pleasure to use. The key travel is soft and quiet, and the keys for My Pictures, My Documents, Undo, Redo, etc. are convenient. In addition to five My Favorites keys, you can also reassign any of the preset hot keys to your liking. The media player controls are handy also, with the volume control allowing small increments of change. The zoom slider works well in Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop Elements, Word Perfect, and web pages; these are the only applications where I've tested it, but the Microsoft web site lists others where it should work. I haven't had the keyboard long enough to attest to its durability, but it seems solid and well-made, and the black-and-gray finish is attractive. If you're looking for an upgrade from the default keyboard that came with your computer, this is an excellent choice and you won't be disappointed.Customer Review: Great keyboard at a great price

I wanted a keyboard with a USB hookup that wasn't too expensive. I bought this one based upon the reviews, and let me say, they are ALL true. This keyboard is great. It's not too loud, is comfortable to type on (the keys really feel "soft"), and it has a lot of nice features. It looks nice too! The zoom feature works in Picasa (what I use for my pics) and even lets you switch from picture to picture if you're zoomed all the way out in a pic. I hooked up my Digsby to work with the "messenger" shortcut, picked Chrome for my internet shortcut, and gmail for my email shortcut. Easy to do, and intuitive. Works great, install the CD to be able to add your shortcuts. I connected keyboard before installing and nothing bad happened (even though it said to install first). So all around great keyboard for the money! Love it so far!
