Customer Review: Returned DVD's to life after toddler torture test
Summary: 5 Stars

Ok, I see a lot of negative reviews here and I really have to wonder if people just don't know how to follow the directions. I have used this on DOZENS of DVD's, that would NOT play at all after my 3 year old put several different scratches on them, and returned them to fully functional. It took discs that would just freeze and not play and returned them to totally playable. Some that I thought were beyond repair and will play with VERY minor skips that don't affect movie play.

There are two different sets of pads that require two separate solutions. It works on the same exact principal as all the other high end cleaners. . Look around (I bought this 3 or 4 years ago) but for the money this is as good as you can get ( this assumes that you can read at a 5th grade level and follow instructions ).

Customer Review: Worked great for me!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a DVD that was scratched during shipping. One repair kit did nothing to help it. I considered using the Skip Dr., but I never cared for what it did to the disks. My church's Media Center uses the Optifix system, so I decided to try it, too. The scratch was gone, and the DVD plays with no problem whatsoever. I'll admit that not all scratches can be repaired this way; some scratches cannot be repaired at all. I just know that it worked great for me.

Customer Review: it works if used correctly
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the memorex cd/dvd cleaner- after I bought it I saw some bad reviews. If you use it like it says -I worked great. My 5 yr old daughter ruined 3 dvd, One the Wizard of Oz. I used the fixer and then the cleaner (household medical alchol also cleans well)as discribed. I fixed, then cleaned the DVDS. then repeated the steps one more time. Clean the DVDs and there will be no film residue. DVD were as good as new

Customer Review: Really good
Summary: 5 Stars

This thing is amazing one of the best buys ever. so far this thing saved about 20 discs and i'm yet to get a refill kit. yes its loud, yes it leaves a hazy residue on the disc, but to the laser the residue doesn't make a difference. also if you are really inclined to remove it, it comes off easy with alcohol. will most likely buy refill pack.

Customer Review: Works for me
Summary: 5 Stars

I'd had quite a few previously viwed DVDs that had scratches. As a result, my DVD player would freeze. This product fixed a couple of DVDs for me. As far as the haze, you can use a lint free cloth to wipe the haze or a bottle of Optrix afterwards. I stopped buying DVDs new unless I can get them via gift card or in a bargain bin.
