I bought this spindle for a specific project and burned over 80 of them on our iMac G5 SuperDrive. So far, not a single coaster. Each disc surface was printed with a label that incorporates a color photograph and background gradient, along with some large and some very tiny text. These were done using DiscCover layout software and the Epson Artisan 50 printer. Again, every disc came out flawless.
The only weakness I found on these CD-Rs was the non-coated groove about 5/8" from the disc center. If printing all the way to the hub center, the printer will deposit ink on this groove, but since it is bare plastic, this ink will never dry (at least it didn't dry on mine after a full week). The cure is to clean out the groove with a tissue to collect all this ink, otherwise it can get smeared onto the adjacent printed areas while loading, unloading, or otherwise handling the disc. I do this anyway along the outer edge of each disc to clean off any overprint, but this extra groove-cleaning step is a bit annoying.
I'd only give 4 stars instead of 5 if I had ever used any other discs that even came close to the performance I've gotten out of these.
