Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Memorex CD/DVD-Player Laser-Lens CleanerCustomer Review: Memorex CD/DVD Player Laser-Lens Cleaner - highly recommend! Summary: 5 Stars
I was about to throw out this DVD/CD recorder/player as it had stopped playing many of my favorite old CDs. After using this product (which is pretty simple to do), the player now plays ALL the CDs that it had stopped playing (clearly because of a dirty lens). For some 8 bucks (cost of this product with free shipping), I saved myself from buying another DVD/CD recorder/player. Great value for the money and I would highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Worked Great! Summary: 5 Stars
This worked wonders for my DVD Player. All of a sudden any DVD I played started skipping around 30 minutes into the DVD. I knew the problem was with the player, so I started looking around for new ones. I decided to try this first since it was only a few dollars as opposed to a few hundred for a player. I'm so glad I did. DVDs are playing correctly now and I have this if any of my other laser based electronics start acting up.
Customer Review: skepticall, but it worked fine Summary: 5 Stars
This device was a last ditch effort to"fix" my DVD/CD burner.
I was having a terrible time burning DVDs and CDs; I could burn but then NOT mount
the DVD I just made - very frustrating. I used this DVD, which dusts off the lens,
and was able to write and then mount DVDs without any problems. I think it
saved me from spending lots o money on a new drive. Of course, you COULD
have a bad drive.
Customer Review: It works! Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't expect much from this thing, but it worked! My computer kept on glitching when I tried to watch DVDs, sometimes stopping outright and crashing. I ran the laser-lens cleaner (which comes with an annoying and surreal voice-over) and now I can watch DVDs again! There's an occasional hiccup, but overall DVDs play pretty smoothly and I haven't had one crash since cleaning the player.
Customer Review: Did the trick! Summary: 5 Stars
My little tv/dvd combo I keep in my pottery studio wouldn't play at all. I try to keep the dust down, but no doubt fine dust had gotten into the player. My local repair shop quoted me $85 for the cleaning. Not outrageous, but I could think of more fun ways to spend $85. A little research brought me to this handy item. Popped it in, a few minutes later the player was working perfectly.
