The Memorex CD/DVD player Laser Lens Cleaner is great. With 6 brushes to clean with, the ease to solve my problem. My DVDs got stuck and some times start skipping and this Cleaner made it run smooth again. I bought 2 of these one for my daughter to clean her dvd player and one for us, because I could not do without it. After several dvds played it just keeps it running smooth and improves the lasting power of my dvd player. So simple to use, it walks you through the steps and before you know it, the cd/dvd player is working great again. We had purchased a DVD recorder and within 5/6 months of continued use we noticed the picture quality was very poor, I contacted the place that we had bought it and they suggested we invest in a lens cleaner as we had used the unit heavily over the last 5/6 months.
We bought this product and from the time of cleaning it has worked perfectly. I will recommend anyone having problems with their DVD player/recorder to try this first before sending the unit to the repair shop as I was about to do.

I agree with other reviewers that this is a lot for the price (other brands are 2x$ for same product--little brush hairs on a disc--but they don't have the audio diagnostic features.)
To those whose players reject the disc: re-insert until the player reads the disc. I had to insert the disc 4x on initial use. (Because the lens was dirty???) Not a problem any more.
I thought a lot of my discs were damaged, but it turns out most of the problems were actually the player.
VERY HAPPY.

If you've even owned a phonograph player, you periodially cleaned the needle because of lint and dust. It's the same with the laser lens on a CD/DVD media player. They need to be cleaned of lint and dust and the easiest way to do this is to use a CD/DVD cleaning disk. I've owned other CD/DVD lens cleaning disks but the Memorex Lens Cleaner is one of the better units around. It also includes a sound optimization tool that walks you through the optimizing of your sound system speakers. Pretty awesome!
