My DVD Player/Recorder was having problems recording. Some blank DVDs got the message "Cannot Record To This Disc" and some would record but have skips in the recording. The playback function was still OK. After using this cleaner once, there was a little improvement... but it still wasn't right. I ended up doing the cleaning function 4 times - and now the unit works just fine.
If your problem is stubborn, as mine was, you may need to use the cleaner several times back-to-back. But it made all the difference in the operation of this unit.
NOTE: Memorex recommends you use this product only 10 times... then replace it.

My Panasonic DVD player with wireless surround sound had skipped a little, then just failed to even recognize a CD or DVD in the tray. I didn't want to have to replace the whole sound system, and another "cleaner" would not operate either. On the first run with this disk, I got a few flashes of picture and some garbled sound. Two more runs brought it back 80%, and I had some hopes. A few days later I ran it three more times, so the surround sound could be balanced out, and it performs better than it has since new.
It may not solve everyone's electronic repair issues, but it bailed me out this time.

I was having trouble reading some DVD's, and looked into ways of fixing it. This laser cleaner came up a lot, and I decided to give it a try. When I received it, I was scared to use it with the slow loading drive in my MacBook Pro because it is literally a CD with 5 or 6 little brushed on the bottom, and I feared it would get stuck in the slot loading drive. Inserted the disk, it made some crazy noises for about a minute, popped the disk out, and the drive reads the previously unreadable disks PERFECTLY now. I recommend this product 100% to anyone with a slot loading drive on a Mac that is having trouble.Customer Review: worked great

i am so happy with this product, i thought my older 250 watt sharp cd player was headed for the scrap heap. first it would not read disc 2, then it would not read disc 3, only disc 1 worked and then that started skipping.....
i used this product and all issues are now resolved, player plays great, i also used this in my older koss dvd player, and although player had no issues, i decided it was about time it too be cleaned...
highly recommend this cleaner, also it is very reasonably priced here at amazon when comparing same type items in the stores....

Hey, don't run to the repair shop just yet and don't kick that DVP/DVR to the curb too soon.......help is on the way!!! My DVR was giving me grief not reading or writing to discs properly until I fed it this Memorex CD/DVD Laser Lens Cleaner. WOW, it worked like magic!!! It's been nearly 3 weeks already and not a single error message and it plays and records like the day I purchased it. If you own a CDP/DVP/DVR a Memorex Laser Lens Cleaner may save you a costly trip to a repair shop......it certainly did in my case!!! Just my two cents.
