I don't write reviews, but here I am, writing a review for a product I purchased with no real hope it would work. My multi-CD player hadn't been used in years (yes, years) and when I'd tried it at Christmas it was painful to listen to. I purchased (locally) another well-known brand name lens cleaner and it made no difference whatsoever. I wasn't prepared to completely throw in the towel, so I checked to see what was available on Amazon. Aside from the product I already purchased that didn't work, I saw this product. The reviews were glowing. I'm a skeptic. Who knows who writes those things? Anyway, the price wasn't a huge investment if it did in fact work, so I ordered it. I was amazed. My CDs now play without skipping. I don't know how this thing works (and I don't much care), but IT DOES WORK!Customer Review: can't believe results!

I am so glad I read reviews before using this-because it may take more than once-but I have a high end panasonic dvd/vcr combo-and all the sudden it couldn't read/play dvds I had recorded-I pay them only on this unit-so I didn't finalize them-and if this unit bites the dust-they won't play on other players-we are talking hundreds of hours of dvds I recorded off vcr tapes. All my dvds read/play now-the unit is 3 years old and never had the lens cleaned-also-If the message reads "NO READ" IT IS STILL CLEANING!!! IN MY BOOK-one of the error messages says "no read" means you have inserted a lens cleaner and it's done! I was so afraid if it couldn't read it-then it couldn't play/ or clean-but it does! It solved my problem and I was already pricing a new recorder/player!Customer Review: Wow, this thing really works!

I don't usually write reviews, but this product worked so well I was compelled to share my experience. Last week I settled in to watch a Netflix and discovered my DVD player had stopped working. I tried repeatedly to insert the DVD and it would immediately eject. I tried to load my DVD player about 100 times with a variety of DVDs and found the player simply would not acknowledge or read my DVDs. So I decided to do a little online research and came across this Memorex CD/DVD Laser Lens Cleaner. Figured for $10 it was worth trying out. After all, that's much less expensive than a repair shop or a new player. Long story short: it worked! The whole process took all of 10 minutes and now my DVD player is working perfectly. I have a Sony DVD player from about 4 years ago that was top of the line at the time, and would still be good today if functioning.
Recently however, it was seriously malfunctioning. I would put a DVD in, and it would keep spinning, but then not recognize it at all. It would recognize and play CDs, but they would skip constantly.
I decided to give this a chance for $5 to see if I could recover my player. I ran it once and it seemed to skip less, but would still not recognize DVDs. I thought , maybe if I put it in repeat and run it a few times it might work.
Voila!!! I couldn't believe it, DVDs were recognized and played again. So give it a try, maybe run it a few times!!!!

I have a Sony DVD player that is a few years old. I also belong to one of those movies by mail companies. Although I would clean each DVD when it came, more often than not my DVD player wouldn't play the DVD. I could take it in on my computer and play it with little or no problem, but that's not nearly as comfortable as stretching out on the couch. I was going to either end my membership in the rental place, or purchase a new DVD player. As a last resort, I purchased this cleaner and it worked exactly like the directions said. I have had no problems with any DVD that I've rented since then. I would highly recommend this to anyone with problems.
