Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x Data CD-R Media (50-Pack Spindle)Customer Review: Check Your Hardware Capability Summary: 5 Stars
Check Your Hardware Capability. Memorex will not burn perfectly unless you have a drive that burns them properly. I have heard that Lite-On burners have some problems with Memorex. I have burned at least 1500 CD-R's (all Memorex) and never one problem with my Sony burner. Also, you must store them properly to ensure a long life for your disks. I have some that are 5 or more years old and they play as good as the day I burned them. At 20 cents a disk how can you go wrong. I also always recommend to all my friends to burn at a slower speed. The best things come to those who wait. Nero is also the best software to burn any type of media.
Customer Review: Look No Further. Summary: 5 Stars
If there's a better deal on Amazon, I have yet to find it. Not only are these Memorex CD-R's arguably the most dependable and inarguably the most affordable, but Amazon is currently making it cost-advantageous to purchase two 50-pack spools over a single 100-pack spindle (may as well stock up). As a radio DJ-educator-musician I go through a spool per month and have no complaints, even though these are supposedly "data" rather than "music" CD's. (I have yet to detect any difference between the two, other than a 20-50% mark-up for the CD-R's designated for "music" storage.) Thank you Amazon and Memorex! (Just don't get greedy.)
Customer Review: These are great CD-Rs Summary: 5 Stars
I have used Memorex CD-Rs exclusively for a few years now, and can honestly say that they are wonderful to record with. They are very dependable whether burning at high or low speeds, unlike ProMedia CD-Rs, which I've also tried. Other reviews have stated that recorded CDs often do not work, but I have not experienced any problems with bad CDs or recordings on the CD writers I have used.Overall, this is a very good product with excellent value. I would recommend it to anyone using problematic or more expensive CD-Rs.
Customer Review: Great Price and Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
I disagree with sid60's review, I have been using the Memorex brand for more than a year now, and so far, I never got a single bad disc. It has to be his cd writer, computer, or software. I have a 52x Lite-On drive, and I use burning sofwares like Nero Burning Rom, Clone CD, CDRWIN, DiscJuggler to burn cds all the time, againt, never got a problem. Also, the cds that are made in Taiwan are in high quality as well. As of 11/12/2003, it's only $9.98 for one 50-Pack Spindle, everyone should stock up, I did, hehe.
Customer Review: Good quality Summary: 5 Stars
These are great quality recordable CD's. Inside the spindle, Memorex packages it so that there will be minimal bouncing around during shipping. They do this with tiny plastic rings. Though seeming like a miniscule detail, I've had experiences with spindles that don't come packaged this way, and it is a disaster. But, most importantly the CD's burn well, and I haven't had a problem thus far. The max speed of 48x is more than enough unless you are among the select few that own 52x burners.Good luck!
