Customer Review: Memorex Disks work well

I have been using the Memorex disks to back up video, keeping the original digitized versions of video on a computer hard drive. Out of 15 disks, only 1 has turned out to be a useless coaster and that may well be a fault of the Power2Go software rather than the disk. I canceled my original planned burn and tried to revise the file content but the result was an "out-of-space" error that produced a coaster. Other than that, 14 of 15 disks were verified by Power2Go as being error-free and burned leaving only 400 to 800K free space on each.
My review applies to the original Memorex 15-pk that I bought over a year ago and let sit around before using. A couple of other reviewers have claimed deterioration but the disks work fine for me over 1 year-old. A newer 15-pk of Memorex 25 Gb disks that I bought is thinner, more like a standard DVD. The original year-old pack, the disks were unusually thick and colored blue on the label side. The newer Memorex have a more sedate gray color on the label side.
So far, very satisfied Memorex customer and will update my review with experience of subsequent spindles, aging disks.

This is probably the best deal on blu rays I have found and what I payed comes out to be about six or seven dollars a disc (given the price I payed) . I have a ton of AVCHD stuff to burn so I need plenty of discs so I shopped around to see the best deal I could. The one problem I ran into was from what I can tell you can't drag and drop like a rewritable blu ray disc. I can make a data disc with -R discs but they won't be recognized by my blu ray player as video like a rewritable blu ray disc that I drag and drop my AVCHD video files. Every single disc is error free so these have earned their value and given the price if you need blu rays I would check these out. My problems are minimal considering how much data can be fit on these discs and the great price.Customer Review: Excellent value for money

I have always been fond of Memorex blank media. From the early days of blank CDs to DVDs and now Blu Ray, Memorex has come a long way to create exceptional quality optical media.
I purchased this spindle few days back and have so far burned all the 15 discs with no coasters! The media ia rated at 4x and works flawlessly with my burner. Even the build quality of the media is too good, I haven't seen such a smooth surface on the circumference of any other media (hold the disc from its edges and you'll notice what I am saying). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for cheap and high quality blu ray discs.

I've been using these for my wedding video business for about 3 months now, and it's been fantastic. I use a Sony HDR-FX1 to shoot, MacBook Pro (running Snow Leopard) + Final Cut Studio 3 to edit, and a LaCie D2 external BluRay burner to create the discs. Great setup and no issues so far with these discs.
