Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet - (6 Feet) - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel [Latest HDMI Version Available]Customer Review: What a Steal !!! Summary: 5 Stars
I picked up a PS3 at gamestop as an impulse buy. I have a LG LCD 1080P HDTV and decided to shop around for hdmi cables. Here's what I found, $50, $75, $100 and up at Gamestop, Target and Best buy. When I got home I did some research and ordered these cables. They arrived 4 days later with standard shipping. What a difference in picture and sound. During the four days waiting I was using the standard AV cables provided by Playstation and was not happy. After hooking up these cables I played Madden and then watched Iron Man on Blue Ray. I could not be happier with the difference in picture quality and sound. These cables will match up to any $50 and up cables. I will be ordering two more to replace my HD DVR box cables and one for future purchases. Side not: I was a skeptic at first, "how could these cables be sooo cheap compared to common store prices" After reading many articles I realized that stores like best buy and others expect customers to forget about cables when they make big purchases. And who wants to get home and wait a week for cheaper cables in the mail while not taking advantage of full HD. Most consumers want it NOW NOW NOW... but they could have saved $100 by ordering these cables online.
Customer Review: Great Bang For the Buck! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of the cables to connect my PS3 180G, and the surround sound 5-disk 1080i HD player That I picked up at a steal for about two hundred to handle the entertainment system's sound. Lately I have taken to playing DVD's in the sony surround sound system, and higher quality discs in the Station that works in higher def. ever since I get these cords to hook up my system I Have been watching all my favorite movies again just to see the true quality that is now possible even from my older DVDs (Princess Bride), the dark colors and vibrant tones of each individual light playing across the sean are uncanny in clarity and sharpness. I was amazed by the difference after such a simple change my TV is alive, and it only cost me ten bucks! I would buy from this company again if I needed it, but as far as these cables go, I think I will be happy for several years to come especially with the cost of the arrangement. I would give this company five & a half stars if I could! They really exceed the level of excellence that I though this site was capable of. They will have a loyal customer for as long as they keep this up I wont shop anywhere els. Thank you for your professionalism, and speed of your business.
Customer Review: No Brainer - If You Don't Buy These Cables, You Paid Too Much! Summary: 5 Stars
OK..let's be honest. We paid hundreds - likely thousands - of dollars to enjoy high def home theater and we want to be sure our lousey cables are not going degrade our picture or sound quality.
We go into home theater departments only to accept that quality HDMI cables of any quality run $30 - $60 each. High end Monster cables run $120 each! With an average system now requiring two to four HDMI cables. you COULD spend big dollars without being sure you have the BEST cables.
How about $9.95/6' cable for the best high def 1080P HDMI.com 1.3 certified CAT 2 cables. Amazon brings you these excellent performers at a truely rock-bottom price.
Once I did my homework, I understand that HDMI certifies cables into a new 1080P CAT 2 1.3 standard.
Anything less could result in true signal loss when utilizing 1080P inputs/outputs.
These cables are of excellent quality suitable for any top-end system (like mine O:). Don't spend 10X more for less quality. And at $9.95 each, they are great for any home theater tv for maximum pleasure for years to come.

P.S. I just ordered three more for my bedroom TV's :O)
Customer Review: DON'T WORRY, DON'T OVERPAY, FANTASTIC RELIABLE PRODUCT! Summary: 5 Stars
When my "old" (5yrs) TV died, I was surprised at all the new and different features available to be state of the art. My research began and imagine my surprise when I found out that even though I was going to spend over $1,000, the HDTV I selected (along with all of them) requires purchasing extra cables if you want to watch your set. And not so BTW-what a rip off. Then I discover the cables cost between $90 and $125 each and I'd need 3 of them if I wanted all the bells and whistles I selected to operate properly! I went on line and through reading lots of stuff including technical information, I found out that these cables are on a 0 & 1 system like a computer so that as long as the cable connection is not over 15 feet, it's kept straight (unlike electricity which flows even through knoted and coiled wire) and it's compatable with your resolution speed (600Hz, 120Hz etc.) all brands perform exactly the same and paying for the name brand that is 10 times the price is unecessary and therefore wasteful and stupid. So I purchased 3 @$10 through Amazon and guess what...they work perfectly and I saved a whopping $270. That's not chump change my friend! It paid for my DVD upgrade!!!
Customer Review: You can definitely see the difference! Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased an upconverting DVD player and two HDMI cables to A/B between the two, and connected this to my new Samsung HDTV. The price of the cables was the same; one was this Mediabridge 'High-Speed' Category 2 cable and the other was .... The first cable arrived sooner than this one so I hooked it up and was very satisfied with the picture. No complaints. This cable arrived a few days later and I set it aside....I was happy with the picture so why the rush? Well, upon inspection, the Mediabridge cable LOOKED better; much thicker yet still flexible, and of quality construction. I swapped out the cables and WHOA! What a difference! Not only did the cable fit more snugly into the HDMI connections but it was apparent to everyone in the room that 'Category 2' made a difference...colors seemed more vibrant and crisp, blacks seemed blacker, and the picture seemed much sharper and 'in focus', if you will. I don't have a top-of-the-line sound system so I didn't notice any discernible change in audio quality, but the video quality was so different I ended up spending the evening re-watching most of my latest DVDs to see the difference in picture quality! This from a $10 HDMI cable!
