I used this cable two different times. The first time I used it to connect from my playstation 3 to my sound system. It performed great. Because it is an optical cable you will find that the sound is much better and that it can support a variety of sound configurations. I also used it to connect to my computer and sound system at a different time. During this period it performed very well too. The construction of the cable was very good. Each side comes with a little cap that protects the end. Mediabridge makes great cables so do not worry.
The best part about these cables is the value. You save a ton of money from what you would have paid in store.

Mediabridge Toslink CablesThe Toslink optical audio connection carries a digital audio stream using a fiber-optic cable. This Mediabridge Toslink Cable is perfect for whenever you need to connect audio devices, such as a CD or DVD players to a receiver or preamplifier.
In home-theater applications, you can use the Toslink connection to send a Dolby Digital or DTS soundtrack to an audio processor or A/V receiver for surround-sound decoding.
Since Toslink uses fiber-optic cable, it is free from distortion caused by electrical or magnetic interference that an electrical cable would incur. The result is an audio signal that is purer, as well as truer to the original recording.
