My experience with Mediabridge Products, LLC started with the purchase of "Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable With Ethernet - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel - (6 Feet)." It was so good I decided to invest more into their accessory products. Next up was their "Mediabridge - 3 Port Smart HDMI Switch" which only added more love to this pleasant encounter. Now let's break it up for you, shall we?

My humble entertainment center consists of: 1)Dynex 24" / 1080p / 60Hz / LED-LCD HDTV; 2)Sony BDP-S570 3D Blu-ray Disc Player; 3)Roku XDS Streaming Player 1080p. A stellar fun combo for those of us on tight budgets!

Set up for this HDMI Switch was a breeze. All you have to do is plug in the wires & your set:-) Oh, sit and enjoy, if you have time! Consistent Quality picture at affordable price, what else could you possibly ask for? A lot, but let's focus on the product in question. A note to be made here: Although my TV is 1080p capable, I mostly got 720p out of it but that is likely due to the fact I'm using wireless internet connection (via: Cisco Linksys E1000 Wireless-N Router.)

However, there are few points made by other customers that are worth discussing:

1) Auto Switch Function. Here's what Mediabridge, LLC said in response: "The auto-switching function will not work will all components. If your device sends a current when in the off position, the switch has no way of recognizing a change when it is "turned on" so it will not automatically switch. However, with most common devices (PS3, Blu-Ray, Cable Box, etc...), this function works fine." Besides, this switch comes bundled with a remote controller, ie, you can switch with a press of button!

2)Remote Controller 'Sensitivity' issues: Another one of those Urban Myths! OK, maybe not. I personally never had issues with it but certainly noticed you need it to aim it directly at the attached IR receiver. Big deal!!

3)Customer Care Reps: Exceptionally serious about pleasing their customers (within limits of reason, of course). Here's how I can attest to this. After I used their HDMI Switch for a couple of months. One night, it seems to have suffered a sudden fatal heart attack. It just died on me with no obvious cause of death!! I was so heart broken I didn't know what to do. First thing that popped up in my head was to reset my internet connection. Reset everything. Flat line all along! So I started to disconnect & reconnect components of my Fun Center to pinpoint the cause of the problem: It was the HDMI Switch (Shoot)...I called Mediabridge, LLC on 856-216-8222 (8AM-5PM Monday thru Friday). I was professionally greeted & promptly re-routed to a tech specialist who promised a replacement unit to be shipped & that I should expect it to arrive within 5 business days. He also apologized for the fact that I received a "defective unit." I asked if I should return the defective unit but I was told to simply toss it. The call lasted less than five minutes by the end of which I was left stunned as to how easy they made it for their customers to reach & be reached for. They've set new standards for customer care. Then I noticed something else as I was prepping to write this review, Mediabridge, LLC actually listens & cares about what their customers say about them. They answered to all customers negative reviews & always offered help. You may ask me now: Am I upset that I got a defective unit? The answer is: I was. I mean, seriously, stuff happens & Lemons still grow ;-) What matters is you're investing with a company that is willing to make it up for you. That's a rest of mind.

Update: The Replacement Unit arrived in 3 days. It's been performing like a Champ. I've waited a rather lengthy while to test the new unit & see if it'll die on me too (God forbid!) but things look perfectly fine :-)

Bottom Line: I'm sure to recommend this product with FULL confidence to a friend or who ever else looking up for a similar product.
