Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Maxell Noise-Cancellation HeadphonesCustomer Review: Good For Flying Summary: 4 Stars
The sound quality is good, the fit comfy and the close-fitting cups make for good sound isolation even without the NR on. When you turn on the NR, though, you'll hear that annoying jet engine hiss disappear into a faint background hum.
YES. I don't even listen to music with these. I put them on, turn them on and then just SLEEP for the flight.
AWESOME.
Customer Review: Surprisingly Effective NR; not bad headphones, either Summary: 4 Stars
The noise reduction works as advertized. Low frequency sounds are _greatly_ reduced. Higher frequencies -- human voices, in particular -- are less damped. But if you spend time around machines (airplanes, air conditioners, etc.) they make your life a lot more peaceful. As headphones (for example, for a stereo) they are OK but not great.
Customer Review: Very good noise cancelling headphone for the money! Summary: 4 Stars
The fit is good, even though the ears are not covered completely, and they are comfortable. The sound quality is OK and they filter out external low frequency sounds effectively. I've tried other brands sell for 3 times as much, and this set works just as well if not better. For the money, these headphones can't be beat.
Customer Review: Work very well on airplanes! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these for my mom whom absolutely loves them. She travels from Europe to visit me in the US several times a year and she is so happy with them. Excellent for plane and also car-travel with kids in the car. Great product for the price. The are not BOSE but for the price they are awesome.
Customer Review: Good for the money Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased these for medical transcription and they work great. My only complaint is the annoying on/off switch is right in the middle of the cord, which is obnoxious. But I would buy again for sure!
