Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Madcatz Mcv55607 Gamecube 4 Mb Memory CardCustomer Review: Cheaper and just as good. Summary: 5 Stars
Though I generally don't care for MadCatz's third party controllers (analog sticks are way too loose), their memory cards work perfectly well in my experiences with them. I'd recommend them for anyone who wants to save a few bucks and get something just as good as an official Nintendo product.
Customer Review: Maybe I was lucky Summary: 5 Stars
I used this memory card for about a month as I played through Zelda: Wind Waker. Everyday I loaded & saved my game on this memory card, and I haven't had any problems with it. For me, it did what it was supposed to do.
Customer Review: nice "first accessory" for new users Summary: 3 Stars
i purchased this 1x memory card along with my game cube. a year and a half later, it is still going strong with game #12. as for my very first memory card, it's doing its job pretty well. too bad it only holds 59 slots, which fills up very quickly, especially with recent games, forcing you to make tough decisions letting go of save games... definitely does not compare to my recent purchase of 1019. to be honest, after you wear out of this cheap-o, go for the real deal, the 1019; definitely worth the investment.
More or less I'm pretty satisfied with this MadKatz memory card.
Customer Review: Don't take a chance. Summary: 1 Stars
At first, it may seem like a good idea to buy a memory card 3rd party because you are saving money. As memory cards are very important, you don't want to take a chance by buying a crap memory card that corrupts your data. I've bought two madcatz memory cards for my gamecube, and both have corrupted my data. The latest memory card corrupted my data after only a week. I should have learned the first time. Listen, there will be people who have had good experiences with these things and I don't doubt that, but trust me, you are taking a chance by buying a memory card 3rd party. It's not fun when all your data saved up from a year gets corrupted. Spend the extra money and buy a card made from Nintendo (although this applies to all consoles).
Customer Review: Never buy memory cards third party! Summary: 1 Stars
Although it appears you're getting a good deal for this, EVERYTHING that MadCatz sells is pure crap. I have one of their PS memory cards and it just stopped working out of nowhere and is no longer recognized on my system. Always, always, always buy OFFICIAL memory cards from Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft or whatever. These 3rd party companies are horrifically bad and are only interested in stealing your money. Ignore the price, and go for the quality. It's a trade off of a few dollars for a whole lot of frusturation.
