I purchased this product after reading the reviews of the many products of this type on Amazon. I found this product to have received the best reviews.
Upon receiving the product, I began using it in my Honda Accord, and it has worked perfectly. The sound is incredible, like having my ipod connected directly to my car stereo. It comes with adapters so you can use it with all different size Ipods. It also comes with a wire to use it to connect other devices, like my portable DVD player. It works great with that also. I have also tried it out in my Dodge minivan with no problems.
The docking station fits neatly in any size cup holder, due to it's spring loaded grips.
I have experienced some occasional radio interference on 88.1 MHz, the factory set frequency. However, the noise is almost unnoticeable, and in fact I can usually only hear it when I have the Ipod paused.
This product also charges my 20GB ipod much faster than the charger that came with the ipod.
The only minor problem I can see is that the docking station only works with an external adapter (no batteries). But, I bought it to use in the car, so that's not a problem for me.
This is a great product, and I would highly recommend it.

I've owned a griffin itrip and a generic brand fm transmitter and they both were a hassle. I've also listened to plenty of other fm transmitters in my friends' cars, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best sound quality I have ever heard from a transmitter. Currently I live in the most densely populated place I've ever lived (DC), and I don't even have to change the channel to get a clear signal (88.1). It starts broadcasting the second you turn it on and it pauses your ipod when it turns off. I've only had it for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to the craftsmanship, but I'm extremely pleased with how understated it looks and how simple it is to use.
The only consideration you might want to make before you purchase it is where your cup holders are in relation to your cigarette lighter and the driver's seat. The charging chord is not extremely long (maybe a little over a foot), so if you were thinking of putting it somewhere other than a center console, it probably won't work.
I'm picky when it comes to music, but I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn't have a tape player or the money to do a direct hook up.

I am very pleased with this product. The design is well thought out, the construction seems sturdy, the fidelity is good FM quality (don't expect CD quality from any FM transmitter), and it seems to function well. It's not obvious from the photograph, but the "grips" on the bottom adapt to any cupholder diameter smaller than the unit. I had no trouble finding a frequency that permitted low-distortion listening, but we live in the country. Driving closer to "civilization" led to some mild interference, but it's easy to change the frequency. Two things to think about before purchasing. 1) The adapters that ship with the unit don't fit an iPod Nano 4G (chromatic), but the adapter that shipped with the Nano fits into the dock area of the unit with no difficulty. 2) I'm using it in a 2000 Toyota Forerunner with a manual transmission. In this truck the cupholders are behind the stick. The angle of the iPod is therefore a little too vertical for the short sight distance, but rotating the cup towards the operator helps a little. I have used several transmitters in the past and could never find one that would work as well as I wanted. I seen the good reviews on this one and figured I would give it a try. When I started using it I could not Believe how flawless it worked. In the past I have always had trouble with radio Interference and if it was not that it was a crummy tinny sound.
I am happy to say that this one has none of these problems. I am using it with one of the new 3rd generation ipod Nanos and it is so nice to just plop it in the docking station and have it charge and play all at the same time. Also you dont have to plug a cable into the ipod like other transmitters this is all done through the docking port.
So if your looking for a transmitter/docking station for your car don't bother messing around with anything else this is the way to go. I think I am even going to buy another just to have for a spare. I dont want to ever be with out one of these.

I recently bought this FM Transmitter-Charger-Docking Station for my iPod and I love it! The reasons:
1. The iPod signal is transmitted loud and clear to my RAV-4's radio;
2. It comes with adaptors for all iPods;
3. Works as an fm transmitter to portable cd players (or equivalent devices) by connecting the iCup to the headphone jack with the enclosed cable;
4. Charges the iPod;
5. Fits perfectly and securely to the back seat cupholder (adjustable cupholders won't fit securely), so your front seat cupholders and lighter are free. In RAV-4, the back seat cupholders are concealable;
6. Its black color makes it less conspicuous for the thieves.
The only minor drawback is that one has to remove the i-Skin from the iPod to make it fit inb the docking station. However, the sound quality and stability of the signal outweighs my minor complaint.
