Hooked it up to my 60GB iPod 5G
Set video out to ON, NTSC, and Widescreen
Played a movie and it looks decent on the HDTV.
600MB movie file appears about VHS quality.
I also bought the $3 cable that goes in the bottom of the iPod and this $.49 works just as well.
Note - I have rockbox installed and this only works if you boot to normal iPod mode. Menu + Select for 5 seconds to reboot then hold switch to ON when apple logo appears.

I too, wish that these cables matched my black iPod, Universal Dock and the rest of the A/V cables. I recently discovered that I am able to switch the cables (and S-Video cable) from the Universal Dock to the laptop that runs Windows Media Center. In this way we can watch the Amazon Unbox content that was downloaded to the computer. (We have the DISH network, and the DVR doesn't work with Unbox.) These cables are not just for iPods!Customer Review: Great value, great product!

Okay, considering this cable costs $1.50, it's an exceptional product. I set it up in a few minutes and can now play iPod movies, tv shows and slideshows through our home entertainment system. The ONE drawback is that the audio (of course) is limited to 2 channels, not 5.1 or 6.1. But I should have thought of that before... still, compared to other cables out there ($20 and up), you can't go wrong with this one - it's a great value.Customer Review: More than I expected!!

First off, I would like to say that if you are buying this for an Ipod, then be aware that this DOES NOT work on the newer generation ones. But if you still have an older gen. ipod then I definitely recommend that you purchase this item as I have no cons for this product other than I need to remove my ipod out of its protective case to plug the TRS connector in completely. Bought this item because i didn't want to pay 30 or more dollars for an A/V Cable, my friend has one made by zune that he paid $35 for and the picture has lines going through it, however this cheap cable works better than his, better picture and sound through it compared to the one made by zune, even when plugged into my friends zune! Overall a good buy!!
