Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Super Talent Pico-C 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive STU8GPCS (Silver)Customer Review: Best usb drive I have ever used. Summary: 5 Stars
I have owned this usb drive for 4-5 months and have nothing but praise for it. I keep it around my neck so that I always have it with me, and it is so small, i never notice it is even there. Although it seems to be hard to get it into usb ports at first, once you realize the correct angle, it is really easy. The read/ write speed has been plenty fast for me, although all I have used it for word files, so i can't really say how it handles large files. It has worked without a hitch with my mac, although I haven't had a chance to use it with a PC. The only problem I have ever experienced was the wearing off of the metallic finish on the back, but this is no doubt in part to it being next to my skin all day. It is the smallest usb drive I have seen on the market, and feels solid and durable. I love this usb drive, and recommend it to anyone looking for a good, solid usb drive.
Customer Review: Tiny, sturdy, wow! Summary: 5 Stars
I am seeing 4.5-5 MB/s writes when moving around lots of files (a few hundred 4-5MB music files). Reads are at a respectable 28-31MB/s. This is good, but not as fast as I've seen in other devices. That said, the compactness and metal case make up for slightly slow writes. I need a drive that I can carry in my pocket with minimal worry of breakage. The metal case and small size make breakage a minor worry. When inserted into my laptop, this sticks out less than my power plug, removing another of the dumb ways I've killed USB sticks. It's predecessor was destroyed by me being momentarily distracted and bending the USB stick which was about 2.5 inches long up against the arm of a chair. 2 years of carefulness were obliterated in less than a second. Overall, this is a solid performer and I'm glad I bought it as a replacement.
Customer Review: Best Mini Flash Drive Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second Mini Flash Drive. (Finally lost the first after almost a year.) Now I'm glad I lost the first one. This Mini Flash Drive is very robustly made and it works better than my first. This drive has a metal casing and (this is important) the part that inserts into your computer has "guide ridges" on each side. My first drive did NOT have these and it was sometimes difficult to get the drive inserted so that it made electrical connection. Also, because of the "guide ridges", it is impossible to plug this drive in upside down. If you are in the market for a Mini Flash Drive, this is the one to get.
Customer Review: badass thumb drive Summary: 5 Stars
I work in software development and use my thumb drive every day. I've gone through several over the years, but this is by far my favorite. It's small, has a fast transfer speed, and durable as hell. I kept it on my key ring, which I always keep in my pocket with loose change and whatever else I happen to be carrying around, for a year and a half and it works just as good now as the day I bought it. I've also gotten it wet several times and have never had any data loss or corruption problems. I'm retiring it today only because I got a 16gb version. I highly recommend this product.
Customer Review: Great device Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this flash drive for a couple months now. It fits on my keychain and gets thrown around a lot. So far, the device works flawlessly. It is instantly recognized on my XP and Vista computers.
If there is one thing to gripe about, it is that it may be a little oversized. On one of my USB ports, it is a very tight fit. It could be that the port is too small, but I don't have problems with other USB devices.
Other than that, I recommend this to anyone looking for a very small, reliable, large capacity USB thumb drive.
