Overall we are very happy with this monitor. The picture and sound is fabulous. THe only two negatives would be the battery does not last long but we use it on the charger or we found a 9v plug that works with it so we plug it in while we are using it and that fixed that problem. The other is I wish you could adjust the volume - its either loud or non-existent. It does have an alarm function which i love - if you turn the volume off - it will alert you with a beeping noise if the baby is crying without hearing the cries. The lights also turn red. It is also smart in the way that if you have a sound machine in the baby's room, it picks up that its a constant and will not go off for that noise - it seperates that from crying which is great. Honestly, I think this monitor prob works a lot better than the cheapy baby ones out there and its less expensive. I also like that you can buy another camera and the monitor will work for both... many baby monitors make you buy a whole new system...Customer Review: Not a bad piece of technology.

I've never owned a video monitor before, so I have no other examples to compare it with, but this one is not so bad. I like the fact that it has infared technology so you can see your child in the pitch dark. It also has a wide lens so the room coverage is rather large. Put is anywhere in the room and you can see most of what's going on in there. I also like the picture quality and the sound quality. Another wonderful thing about this one is that it comes with a rechargeable base so you can carry the monitor around the house with you. Overall, this is a very nice monitor and I would recommend it to friends. No complaints here.Customer Review: digital portable wirless surveillance

I was mostly impressed with the Lorex LW2002W. The video quality is very clear.

I just started using this video monitor and I think it is really good quality. Picture is very clear and sharp. My only beef is that there is no way that I can find to turn the sound on constant. Basically the sound turns on every time the baby makes a noise then mutes itself after about 10 seconds until the baby makes another noise. I would prefer to have the sound be on constantly because the off and on is a bit jarring and makes it difficult to sleep. So annoying to me that I'm tempted to return it. Other than that it is a really good system and if you can stand the constant muting then this is the system for you.Customer Review: Fabulous monitor except for the battery life...

This camera beats all the others hands-down for picture quality, sound, portability, design...everything except battery life. The battery is TERRIBLE!!! It only lasts about 2-3 hours, then the monitor dies...there's no alarm or anything to tell you it's shut down either, it just goes off. Very badly done. This would be an amazing product if they would just change the battery to something that works longer!
I still love the monitor in spite of it's shortcomings. I'm going to keep it, but I would have liked to have known about the short battery life before I made the decision to purchase it.
