Customer Review: Great Camera for the price

The camera has so far exceeded my expectations. The video quality in light and in darkness has been exceptional and the range is great, it works from the front of my house to the complete upstairs other end. I also like the fact that this is digital and isn't able to be picked up by my neighbors or anyone who just happens to be passing by.
The battery life on the camera itself is decent but you won't want to run the camera on batteries alone. The battery life on the video monitor though is not the greatest so be sure and keep the charging base close by as it will need to be charged often.
The adjustable sensitivity is nice becuase I have the camera mounted about 4 feet above the crib on the wall next to our crib. It doesn't alert us to small noises like when my daughter slightly moves or yawns, just when she begins to cry. When the camera is closer though it picks up more faint noises that she makes but the sensitivity adjustment on the video camera helps control that as well.
Overall my wife and I have been very happy with the purchase and would recommend this product.

I like this system alot. The "eye" shows the entire area that you are "watching" and the portable viewing device is large extremely viewable and easy to carry around if needed. It has a belt snap as well as a table top holder. The best thing for me is the sound...I can hear what is going on even if I can't see it. I use this when the little ones are downstairs playing and I am upstairs doing something else. My neices are to young to be left alone outside, but I did check to see the viewing range and it was just perfect. Focused right on the area of the swings with enough parimeter to see them run around a bit. The color is fine, picture is fine, but again...the sound quality for me is outstanding. I may add more to this...just for convenience. Great product..very glad I have it.

For 2 years I have struggled with my Summer Infant. I have wifi, microwave, and 2.4GHZ cordless phone. I struggled every night positioning my current camera just right so that it wouldn't either have interference, have a black screen, or keep me up all night by going whop whop whop whop whop whop whop all night long.
I researched every camera system I could find. I purchase 5 and returned 4. Last but not least I found the Lorex system. Not only did it hold up to distance across my house but there was no interference. I also was concerned with my Summer Infant when my neighbors could see my baby and I could see theirs. With Lorex we have not had that problem at all.
Bottom line. Best system ever. Allows me to finally get sleep. As for the other reviews which are concerned with not being able to hear their child 24/7 it actually is fine as the sound comes on in a split second and when the sound is super loud it beeps to alert you.
Buy this one for sure.

I have had this unit about a month now and so far have not seen anything wrong with it. I was a little hesitant to purchase due to the neg comments concerning the noise control. I have not had a prob with the units sound not activating. It comes on when my daughter sucks her pacifier. So with that said I think it's pretty sensitive. FYI, there is a sensitivity setting on the camera so you can control when the sound activates. (I'm assuming the others didn't have the setting correct on that.) I plugged it into my 40" LED TV and it looked pretty good. Not a single complaint! It does exactly what I need it to do! The signal is great! I have the camera upstairs and I am able to take it all around our 1700 sq ft. townhome without interference. Plus we can take it outside and almost walk around the building without interference... there are 6 townhomes/building if that helps!!! Great picture.
Great utility.
Good sound.
We use it every day and even take it with us when we travel so we can be in someone else's home without having to run into the baby's room during dinner to check he is ok.
In the days when the baby was first born and we were nervous parents, it was wonderful to lie warm in bed and be able to see all was ok and even that he was breathing.
It is good to be able to see what he is doing. Are his eye's open? Is he wriggling? We can judge if he needs us to go in and gently stroke his head and will then go back to sleep. Rather than wait for him to wake fully from a dream and start the feed-soothe-back to bed routine.
If you can afford it and have no qualms about "baby privacy issues", this is the device for you.

The baby is a year old and we still use this the most of anything we bought him. I can't believe how awesome it is.
