If you are a first time HOLGA photographer, prepare to be completely confused and scared. I still have no idea if my camera even works. It makes absolutely no sound when the camera clicks, and the button for taking pictures feels hard when pushed down (I'm not even sure if it actually took any pictures at all). But the manual prepares you for this experience. According to them Holga cameras can be nerve recking at first until you develop the pictures and fall INLOVE with them. I haven't had time to develop mine, so I'm still a little confused. Lightweight, fun camera. It feels like a toy. Great to take around on a long walk and experiment. Color flash is a great addition, I used different colors on my pictures, can't wait to see them. Oh, and also sometimes the flash wouldn't work when "taking picture". Like I said, COMPLICATED, takes a while to understand the mechanics. HOLGA images are amazing, I am very excited and hoping it worked out fine! Good luck!Customer Review: Fun at first..

Im not a professional photographer by any means, but I bought this camera set thinking it would be a fun little addition to a road trip I had planned. I read on the whole lomography thing.. but when the camera came I was a little dissapointed for the price of $60.00. It seems like all you really need is THE CAMERA, THE ELECTRICAL TAPE, THE FILM. Everything else they charge you for is not necessary.
It certainly was fun to take the pictures, but I have yet to develop the film, not a lot of places near my home deal with that particular kind of film. The whole taping process of the camera is a drag as well. I honestly don't even know if I'll ever use it again. So it was pretty much a $60.00 one time toy.Maybe I'll be more excited when I actually develop the film.. ? :)

For a few years I have wanted one of these camera's and in May I decided that I was going to get one. After doing some research I decided that I will pay a little more and get the starter kit. At least it will come with film that I can test run the camera.
Well, I was excited and surprised to receive my package today after only ordering a few days ago.
When I opened it I noticed that it did not come with the promised film and batteried and that disappointed me since I wanted to start using it right away. Now I wish I would have just gotten the camera.
Anyway, that is not going to stop me from enjoying my new toy and I look forward to using it.

I paid an extra $30 to purchase the "starter" kit for a gift thinking the recipient would be able to actually get started using his fun, new camera. However, the kit does not come with film or batteries (even though the product picture includes them). I wish I had just purchased the camera & not spent the extra $30 for a "coffee table" book & a roll of tape.
