Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Lomographic Holga Starter KitCustomer Review: Extremely Fun Camera Summary: 5 Stars
Take a break from digital photography. Let go of instant gratification. Embrace Lo-Fi photography!
This camera is a ton of fun. Load it up with cheap film from the closeout bin of your local camera shop. Snap away at anything at all. Double exposures, color-filled flashes, low-tech panoramics! Get your drugstore to process the film wrong (cross-process slide film) You can't mess up the pictures. They're messed up by design!
This funky counter-culture camera takes great "grunge" pictures that are a thousand times more interesting than yet another round of boring snapshots of your friends sitting around the table at Chili's smiling over half-eaten plates of chicken tenders.
Customer Review: In love with my Holga Summary: 5 Stars
Love, love, love my Holga! It's super easy to use and I take it everywhere.
It's hard to find a place to get the 120 film developed so I just converted it to use 35mm film.
The only thing that bothered me is that the preview picture shows a roll of film and batteries but neither came with the kit.
I called the company and they said Amazon should update the picture because it doesn't come with either.
Anyway, I love my Holga and I recommend buying!
Lomographic Holga Starter Kit
Customer Review: Great Product - Great Deal Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great starter-kit into the world of the Holga/Toy/Lomography. The kit has everything to get started, and the book included is some nice eye-candy to get some ideas as to what this plastic camera is capable of. It's also a lot cheaper here than in most retail stores you might find in the downtown area of your city...ie: rhymes with Gurban Routfitters..;)
Great buy, great deal.
Holgas rock!
Customer Review: The Art Kid's Camera Summary: 5 Stars
I is so odd to be holding a camera that looks like it is from a cartoon, but you won't be disappointed in your pictures. This is the first non digital camera I have used since 2000 and I love it. The worst problem I have is the price of film and development. I hear they only get better with age so I only expect to be happier as the years go on.
Customer Review: It's a Holga! Summary: 5 Stars
The Holga starter kit is a good price for some. I really enjoyed looking through the Holga book that's included, so this was my buying point. I've never used the Holga flash, but have shot 120 color, b&w and 35mm color, b&w. I just love the look of Holga prints, so you could never go wrong with this kit.
