I recently purchased a laptop computer and knew that I wanted an external speaker system since usually the speakers on a laptop aren't great. Well, I researched around and tried to find a good speaker system for a good price. I have always liked Logitech and decided this system would work for the price. I had never experienced a speaker system from Logitech, so I went off their companys reputation. Wow...I was not disappointed.
When I unpacked these speakers they look sleek and nice! They nicely match my HP laptop which has the same sleek looking design. The subwoofer is excellent, giving out extraordinary bass and the speakers are just as great!! They make my music sound clearer than my former Boston Acoustics system ever did on my old computer!! I love the controls on the speakers...they are very easy to get to.
I have absolutely no complaints towards this system and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!!

I was a little skeptical of online shopping when I bought these speakers. I was so nervous about identity theft and credit card theft and everything that I had heard about online (which sounds awful since I was only 19 when I bought them). But needless to say, I got a $50 Visa gift card and decided to try my luck with an Amazon.com purchase. I was so impressed with the speed of shipment and the quality of speakers. When I bought these speakers brand new 5 years ago, they cost me $34.00. I truly understand why they are priced at $230.00 now!! They are small, easy to use and install, and they include the awesome subwoofer. I bought these speakers to rock an entire single family home while I was at college, and they definitely got the job done. I would recommend these to anybody that wants a lot of sound for any space. I'm just sorry the price has gone up, I know that will sadly be a huge deterrent.Customer Review: Great speakers for the price! Buy 'em!

I'm a parent of pre-teens and a small business owner, so I'm not willing to spend the money on speakers to call myself an audiophile. I will, however, admit to being an audio snob ... and my experience is that much of Western civilization is noisy and creates ugly sounds.
Not these speakers.
I recently upgraded to a larger LCD screen, and these speaker are FAR and away better than the more expensive speakers that were on my previous monitors.
It takes a lot to impress me with speakers. This speakers impress me.
I'd recommend giving them a try.
P.S. When you install them, just make sure that the sound levels on your computer are turned up all the way (How do I know this? Because I started panicking when I turned these speakers on for the first time and they were very quiet. I fiddled with them for 15 minutes until I realized ... DOH! ;-)

I have a home office and have music playing off my computer, "in the background" while I work; so I don't want it loud, but yet I want a full sound with good clarity and low end. Many easy listening instrumentals (good background music) have nice low bass flowing through them, and I want to hear it. The X-230 does it - so nice. And the mids and highs are there as well, even at low volumes. On the days when I decide to kick it up with rock (and turn up the volume - particularly Fridays & weekends); like Deep Purple, Journey, Nickelback, etc; this package comes through with flying colors. I've gone through several speaker packages and finally hit a home run with the Logitech X-230. The cabling is long enough that I can put the sub under my desk, and separate the speakers far enough apart on top of my desk. For the price, this is the one to get. I would highly recommend this audio system to anyone. Actually, I'd probably give it a 4.5 to be exact. I feel like the bass can be too loud, but it can easily be adujust by using the equalizer to fix the problem.If you've read over 10 reviews on this product, you will probably hear that the bass is a bit too loud. DONT WORRY ABOUT IT. It can be fixed by turning down the volume knob. I have always owned Bose speakers (in my living room, bedroom, kitchen) but I decided to buy these speakers for my laptop since i traveled a lot. And my I say, that I am amazed by the sound quality. Very crisp, clear, and high quality. Go for it if money is a bit of a concern. If money is not of a concern, still go for it because I guarantee you'll like it. Im a musician and all my friends think its one of the best sounding relatively inexpensive speakers out there. Hope this helps!
