This was the best thing we could have given our daughter for christmas. She takes it everywhere she goes. It travels well,and the sound it puts out is trully awesome. I couldn't believe it when she started plying it. And with the earplugs she can listen to her music in the car and we can hear ours. It charges her iPod much easier than the last iPod charging base and the cost was much less. I would recommend this product to anyone over all the other charger/portable speakers that I've had in the past. Plus, we were told it would'nt arrive until close to the 24th of December. I've purchased at least five of these systems, for myself and for gifts. I spent a long time at the Apple store listening to and playing with various speaker systems before choosing the Logitech. It has good sound for the price, a remote, folds up to a very compactly and, most importantly, can run on 110-240V. If you are a traveler, you can take this with you anywhere and use it without a transformer (prong adapter is needed). The Logitech also charges the iPod whenever it is seated in the unit.
Mine has traveled with me extensively (very useful on long train rides) and is none the worse for wear. I highly recommend it.

Logitech 970173-0403 mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod White
My wife had "told Santa" that she really wanted some speakers for her iPod Nano. She had mentioned that she liked the Bose setup but just wanted something. After reading some of the reviews on the Logitech mm50 I took a chance and bought it. Was I ever glad! She was TOTALLY happy with these speakers! They fill a room with sound you would never expect from a small unit like this. I would recommend this item for anyone wanting portable big sound for their iPod.

My wife and I are redoing our kitchen. The house is 96 years old and we wanted the kitchen to evoke the past but be contemporary. I searched for the perfect speaker system/boom box for my ipod for that room. We are an ipod family. (2 shuffles, nano, 5th gen plus a nano my late daughter had.) The reviews for this were pretty good and the price was ridiculously competetive. $99 for this machine. Great battery life. Unbelieveable sound. When I was using it in the living room the workers all thought I had turned on our regular stereo.
Looking for this kind of product. GET THIS ONE!

I received these speakers as a gift and cannot say enough about them. I use them in my kitchen and the sound is loud enough to reach the entire downstairs area and then some. We have also been using the portable speakers with our ipod in the car when we travel over an hour. The sound is great and I love being able to use my ipod without buying an itrip and having to worry about frequencies on my radio. This is just easy...no hassle. If you want a compact, great sounding portable speaker that also charges your ipod this is the one for you. I couldn't be happier with this gift!!!!
