Bought this portable speaker to project a playist outside at my dad's retirement party. Worked beautifully! The sound is wonderful, the remote worked from a good 8-10 feet away, and I didn't have to worry about my iPod battery going low because the speaker system recharges while it plays. I love how the feet fold in to make it lie flat - fit easiy in my suitcase when we went to Kansas City recently.
Fits both my iPod video and my husband's iPod nano so we could both play and charge our iPods in the hotel.
My only complaint is that there is no space for the power cord in the handy dandy carying case. So you better have batteries in case you forget the power cord!

I included the link to the Logitech mm50 Portable Speaker System in black because this is the only mm50 that will work with my 3rd gen ipod. The white speakers are NOT compatible - I tried 3 different speakers in white and none worked with the ipod. I was browsing the speakers in a Best Buy store and plugged my ipod into the black mm50 that was on display. It worked! I ended up purchasing the mm50 in black from amazon (it was much cheaper). It's an amazing value for a speaker/charger system - and it comes with a remote!

Seller is new to Amazon, but we found him/her extremely reliable. Although Amazon said it might take a month to receive product, seller sent us an email saying it would arrive in 15 days, and it did. USPS tracking, however, is not reliable. I contacted seller two days ago because USPS tracking indicated product had not been shipped, yet. Seller explained it had been shipped but that USPS was slow to update. As of today, tracking is five days behind and shows product has just entered USA. So far, we are quite satisfied with the product itself. Sound is clear and solid. Compact size of system and durability of case makes it perfect for travel, which is exactly what we bought it for.Customer Review: Great portable sound!

I got this for my birthday (thanks Mom!!) and I use it nearly every day. It sits in my dining area and has such fantastic sound - and it can be unplugged and hauled outside at a moment's notice! Even better! I haven't travelled with it yet - that will be later this year - but the speakers are fairly light weight - and the case that comes with them is excellent. Did I mention the remote? Ya gotta have a remote! The ONLY complaint I have is that I have to take the hard case off my iPod to put in the speaker dock, but that is a fairly minor issue.
Highly recommend! The sound is nearly the quality of the Bose, with much more functionality, and a third of the price.

Part of the reason I am so pleased with this product is that I got it for a great price, only $99. As of this writing, none of the sellers has it listed that low. I made the decision to order it because so many of the reviewers commented that it compared favorably with the much more expensive Bose Sound Dock (not actually sure how you spell that), and having listened to a friend's, I have to agree.
I was looking for something inexpensive but easy to use, small enough to travel with, and with decent sound quality. This unit met or exceeded my expectations in every respect. Sure, the sound quality could be better, but for the price and size, it's more than acceptable.
