I was very very impressed with the mm50 speakers
Sound quality-wise, these may be the best out there ---- I have a tough time telling these ones apart from the Bose ones (which I consider to be the best)
Honestly, it is probably equal, and maybe even, better than the Bose speakers ----- and at this price, they are also cheaper and smaller
the mm50's are definitely packing much better sound quality than any of the Altec Lansings I have tried (including the iM7)
For portability, I think this is the best package out there
For loudness, you might be better off with the iM7's, but still, I found these to get very high volume, while still maintaining an acoustic crispness
And for sound quality, you can pick between these and the Bose - but you won't go wrong with these ones

I was resigned to a portable speaker system with poor presence and non-existent bass response since I needed something that packed into a small volume. After perusing reviews here and at some Apple-oriented sites, I became aware of the MM-50 and took a chance without hearing one in person. Boy, am I glad I did!
The sound is superb given the size of the unit - room-filling but not room-rocking. The 3D signal processing works for the 50 or songs I've played since it arrived. The unit just arrived yesterday, so I can't vouch for the durability or the lifetime of the Li-ion battery. The adapter plates for various iPod generations are nicely thought out for my 4th gen 20 Gig as well as my daughter's Mini. Will follow up in a few months, but based on the sound and functionality I've experienced thus far, this thing is a definite winner!

I purchased this speaker system for my ipod because we will be travelling for two months and I wanted something portable for the trip. I am completely happy! The speakers are small but powerful. The sounds quality is strong and sounds like a full-sized stereo. The size is packable and even comes with a small zippered case. If the speakers are plugged in, it will cahrge the speakers and your ipod at the same time. The speaker charge seems to hold for a long time-maybe 4 hours?
The only negative I found is that the place where you connect your ipod seems a little flimsy. The ipod doesn't sit well in the space and I am always afraid it will fall out when I move the speakers or that I am going to break the part where the two connect.
All in all, I totally recommend this ipod player, charger and speakers.

I had this device for a good week now, and I have only done initial charging. It has lasted me well over 7 hrs on and off soo far. You can crank up the sound pretty loud, but I am not sure how long that would make the battery last. I took it on the beach, and was playing it for over 4 hrs. Didn't think it would last, with me changing volume and switching songs constantly with the remote. The remote is pretty convenient to have, sometimes have to angle it towards the speakers but nothing to gripe about.
The internal battery is what sold me on these logitech speakers. Sure I could've gotten much better sounding speakers but for the price and the convenient of taking it with me everywhere I go makes this more than a GREAT PURCHASE. Don't get me wrong the sound is just fine, I am not an audio geek so it suits me just fine!

This little unit GREATLY exceeded our expectations and the price is amazing.
We took it to a large beach BBQ last weekend, and it filled an area of 4 large picnic tables (spread out), two grills, AND the volleyball field without a hitch. It even drowned out competing music coming from groups nearby. Our iPod sat firmly docked into the unit, and I wasn't worried about it getting knocked around in all the chaos. The sound quality was astonishing and the battery lasted the 5 hours we were there, no problem.
I can't wait to take this on vacation - it's really light and compact. I do wish the case had room for the charger, and some kind of carrying strap, but those are minor points and don't detract from my happiness with the product in the slightest. Don't hesitate to buy these speakers!
