Customer Review: Great compliment to current computers
Summary: 5 Stars

When you think about some of the trends in design of the last few years you see some interesting developments. With Apple and their iTunes, iPod, and OSX products for example there is an approach to using glossy surfaces or software user interfaces that communicates that classy glassy texture on buttons, title bars, and elsewhere.

Later in the Vista era, we have the widescreen monitors with the glossy surfaces on the screen and in some cases, the outer rims of the display. There is the DELL XPS and the HP Pavillions that also have have this approach to surface texturing on the cases for the computers, in black. Then Vista carries this trend forward in the operating system itself. In combination this gives us great modernity and style to our everyday use of computers in business and personal areas.

It is great when a keyboard can advance this directions in ways you don't anticipate. From the recharge stand which looks better than many phone chargers, and the keyboard where all the buttons work with or without special software, you are off to a great start. But the keyboard itself, completes this symphony of pre-2050 Minority Report style of shimmer, gloss and glass and does so by not just conforming to the surface textures of the other equipment. It continues this in fine fashion with a slim profile and a careful balance between the wrist rest and the other parts of the keyboard. In short, this is the keyboard to have for the computer and consumer electronics of the next few years and I've enjoyed quite well in the few months, I've owned one.

Customer Review: I love this keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a writer. I spend lots of time typing and HATE having to type on my hot MacBook pro (2006 version which gets hot and uncomfortable where my wrists rest). When I saw the Logitech diNovo Edge I thought it looked nice but wasn't sure how comfortable it would be.

It's comfortable. It works very well. I don't lose my bluetooth connection and the action on the keys is great -- firm but not loud. The scroll wheel/mouse pad thingy is quite handy, though not good for more than basic web surfing (it's definitely just for moving the cursor a little bit here and there, but the scroll action works great in word processing software.)

Programming the keys and activating the function keys requires installing the Logitech software. It's a handy feature.

One other cool thing -- there's a cursor button off to the left that acts as a left-click -- I have mastered scrolling with my right hand on the scroll pad and clicking with my left hand. I wish all keyboards had this kind of feature, as it makes surfing and even just using the mouse in software very easy on the hands (instead of relying on one's thumbs, the work is separated and keeps the wrists feeling okay.

I particularly like the volume and iTunes controls. The charging station takes up very little room and teh batteries charge in about 20 minutes.

If I could change anything I would make the mouse buttons (located under the scroll pad) a little firmer and ask for a slightly bigger scroll pad thing. But the easy solution is to use a cheap mouse.

Customer Review: The Ultimate Cool for PS3 Users!
Summary: 5 Stars

Since my Sony PS3 has a built in web-browser, I went looking for a sleek Bluetooth wireless keyboard that would enable me to surf the internet via my couch. And for you PS3 owners that have tried to surf the internet using the game controller and on-screen alphanumeric entry method, you can understand how cumbersome and time-consuming the process is. Furthermore, since using a wireless mouse on a couch sofa was less than ideal and probably wouldn't work well, I was also set on finding a keyboard that had a mouse built-in. The Logitech diNovo Edge is the solution to my web-browsing issues. It is very sleek, very cool, and works flawlessly with a PS3. In fact, the USB Bluetooth adapter that comes with the keyboard isn't needed. To make the keyboard compatible, just go under the "REGISTER BLUETOOTH DEVICE" menu on the PS3 and then press the "CONNECT" button on the underside of the keyboard. Instant registration. I don't mind that the numeric keypad found on the right side of standard keyboards was omitted to make room for the mouse. This omittion keeps the size of the keyboard smaller and more "lap friendly". The keyboard has orange lights that glow and fade-out when certain buttons are depressed. The charging cradle performs double-duty as a sexy display base. My only complaint is that the alphabetic keys are not backlit, as this would be wonderful when typing in a dark room or at night. Otherwise, this keyboard is the ultimate solution for wireless typing and makes a statement in a room!

Customer Review: I LOVE this keyboard/mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

I guess I should start this by saying that I'm a software engineer and keyboards are pretty important to me as I use them all day everyday for work. I purchased this keyboard because I built a media center computer to watch movies and shows on my new projector and the range on my other wireless keyboard and mouse was terrible (~2 feet reliably).

I took the keyboard out of the box and was pretty impressed. It is quite a beautiful device. I'm currently running Vista and the bluetooth receiver installed almost instantly and without notification or error. I charged the keybaord for about 10 minutes and started using it. A really easy setup.

I like how they raised the bottom keys of the keyboard (left ctrl through right ctrl). That makes it easier to locate them in the dark and just feels better. The mouse took a minute to get used to but now I think it's awesome. It lights up when it is touched too. The fast-scrolling is pretty hot. I like how the keys on the keyboard respond physically when I press them. They are soft but still have just enough resistance to them to let you know that you've pressed a key. I can probably type about 90% of my regular speed as I can with my regular "natural"-style corded keyboard.

Overall I'm happy with this keyboard and have had ZERO of the problems other reviewers have had. It was a hefty price tag and believe me, I would have given it fewer stars if it didn't function as good as it has for this price...

Customer Review: An elegant, well designed wireless keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought Logitech's diNovo Edge Bluetooth keyboard to replace their MX5500 keyboard which suffered from sticking keys. At first I was hesitant to buy another Logitech product, but I really thought highly of their Bluetooth wireless. I also read the most of the reviews of the MX5500 and apparently no one else experienced sticking keys like I did, so I had to conclude it may have been the result of a manufacturing flaw (possibly the keys did not get lubricated). Anyway, I'm glad I got this keyboard. It is a very slim with a fairly traditional key layout and a rechargeable battery. It was easy to install, the old mouse works fine with it, the keys are very smooth in operation, it has all the extra doo-dads that I liked on the MX5500 (zoom, audio controls, one key app launch and other keyboard customization capabilities) as well as a nice little touch pad and partial illumination. It is also very elegantly styled, something that doesn't usually interest me except that I use this in my living room. It does lack a numeric keypad! Personally that's fine with me as in 40 years of working with computers, I have never used one. There are only a few things that I think miss the mark. The touch pad has an innovative scrolling feature that doesn't seem to work well compared to the arrow keys which are right next to the touch pad. I also would have preferred optional full keyboard illumination, but all in all, it's a nicely priced alternative to the rather expensive MX5500.
