Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Z-5300e THX-Certified 280-Watt 5.1 Surround Sound PC and Gaming Speaker SystemCustomer Review: Very Good Summary: 5 Stars
I just finished hooking up this system to my SB Audigy soundcard and am very impressed with it so far. Once I went into the soundcards speaker setup section and done some fine tuning there, then came back to the hand-held unit of the speakers I was better satisfied with them, especially after turning on the "matrix" section of it, it brought regular CD music to a very good surround sound. I am not a "gamer" but I would guess that it brings that out quite good. Haven't as yet used it for a movie, although I would guess that it works very good as well, I like movies on a larger screeen than what a PC has. The only drawback I have with it, the front speakers cables should have been longer.
Customer Review: WOW... Summary: 5 Stars
If you are considering these to upgrade your computer's sound system, don't delay. This system flat out ROCKS! Not just for the price, but the quality of the sound is excellent. They look good, sound good, and have the power to rock your world. Setup was a snap. The longest part of the setup time was just spent unpacking everything. Once everything was out of the box it was just plug-in and play. I've never had a problem w/ any Logitech product. From game controllers to keyboards, and believe me, Logitech has scored big with these. The clearity and the power this system posseses is just awesome. You won't be dissapointed.
Customer Review: Excellent Sound for an Excellent Price Summary: 5 Stars
I have been very pleased with these speakers. I use them both for gaming as well as listening to mp3s and they have yet to let me down. I have played these speakers at maximum volume numerous times and there is no distortion what-so-ever. Another feature that I like is that the headphone jack is on the remote control unit, which makes it very accessible to late night jamming when I don't want to wake the family. I have no complaints for these speakers at all - do yourself a favor and pick up a set, I promise you won't regret it or Amazon will refund your money if you do!
Customer Review: Great speaker system Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this system to get great sound while watching DVD's on the computer, listening to CD's, and playing games. It is a great system for all of these. I have it coupled with a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card. Put in the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan and it was amazing. Played Half-Life 2 and the first few bullets I heard scared the crap out of me.
The only complaint was mentioned by other reviewers. The rear speaker cords are too short. Paid $7 for a couple RCA extensions at Best Buy.
Great system.....would recommend to anyone.
Customer Review: Excellent performance vs value Summary: 5 Stars
A great set of speakers under $150 (Got this for $110 AR). My only regret is that I'm living in an apartment so I can't turn up the volume too much (the room starts shaking when the volume is around 50-60%)
Pros:
1. powerful sub that can shake the room
2. clear & crisp sound
3. convenient wired remote
Cons:
1. slightly short rear speakers' cables (not really a big deal)
2. midrange not very full, but still good for the price
Strongly recommend this set for anyone looking for a 5.1 under $150
