Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Z-5300e THX-Certified 280-Watt 5.1 Surround Sound PC and Gaming Speaker System

Customer Review: Best $100 I ever spent.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these from Amazon.com last summer (the gray Z-5300 model) and I love these speakers more than anything. These are my favorite speakers!

I bought them last summer for $130 and I'm glad I made the purchase. The speakers sound great and the subwoofer is outstanding. I believe it's 100 watts alone, while the rest of the speakers are 180 watts in total. I wish the remote was wireless like the Z-680/Z-5500 but for $120 you can't expect that. It comes with an adapter that lets you use these speakers on your PlayStation/GameCube/Xbox, etc. It works well with 2.1 speakers as well if you don't want to use these. They sound great with THX movies such as Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. The rear speaker wire length is fairly short but it hasn't caused any problems for me yet. These speakers are very durable and I'm very grateful to Logitech for releasing an extremely affordable 5.1 system to the consumer.

Customer Review: Best speakers for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these speakers from my local frys store, which was a huge mistake. I paid retail price for them, $199.99. After looking at the different setups that logitech has, i deceded to see how much they were sold for on here. The Z-5500 was only $218 after shipping. I had to take my Z-5300e back.

Anyways, for $111 you will not go wrong with these speakers. They sound great and have a subwoofer that is in my opinion better then the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. The only problem with these speakers is the two rear speakers have a short cable. I had to use longer rca cables to get them where i wanted them. Also the center speaker does NOT have any monting points like the other speakers do. You can turn the base, but can not be mounted without the use of some kind of special mount or a small shelf.

A definate buy for anyone that wants killer sounding speakers with a super thin wallet.

Customer Review: Logitech Z-5300e THX Certified 5.1 PC Speaker Syste,
Summary: 5 Stars

For $100.49, I don't think I've ever spent that amount sooo well. These speakers are ridiculously loud, even at halfway. My house shakes when it's a little past the 1/4 mark. The only bad thing is the really short cords and the center speaker doesn't have holes where it can be mounted on the wall like the rear left and right ones. Along with the volume controler, it's not very long either. I didn't get the video game adapter with it so I'm not too sure what it's like playing Call of Duty or anything on my 360, but I'm sure it's super sweet either way. I would definitely get these speakers or the Logitech Z-5500's. They're pretty much just an updated model, plus it has Dolby Digital! They're also a lot more expensive, if you can find a good deal on these Z-5300e's.. GET THEM!! You'll never be happier that you made the decision to buy these when you set them up!

Customer Review: Good price - great sound
Summary: 5 Stars

I just purchased, installed and am enjoying the great sound. I have about a 10x10 room and it was vibrating other parts of the house at about 1/2 full volume (that's about all I could take)...

The 5.1 surround is excellent and does immerse you. I played Flight Simulator and it definitely felt more realistic with these speaker. I then watched about an hour of Lord of the Rings, the first one, and was amazed at the sound clarity. The taps on the glass, the smacking of lips, very subtle and clear sounds. AMAZING!

My only gripe is that the connectors from the subwoofer to the sound card are pretty short so I had to put the sub next to me rather than in front of me... The cables, on the hwole, are all too short. I'll probably head to Radio Shack and extend them so I can optimize the sound even more.

All in all, very pleased.

Customer Review: The beat down on Z-5300e
Summary: 5 Stars

WOAAAAHHH!! I knew that people had said it was loud, but so loud that ive never even had it past 50 % , i was suprised!. before these true surround sound speakers, i had 2 d3ll speakers, mabey 15 watts at most. they were pure crap. these are speakers that you can feel are filled with quality, and really good sound!

the highs are high

the mids are middley

the bass is

DOWN THERE!!!!!!! freaking jumps and shakes windows on the other side of the house.

hmmm what else

i am using these on the on board audio of my Abit AT8 32x, they sound good, but man, if i had a dedicated sound card like an X-Fi, the sound would be sooooooo much betterr!!!

highly reccomended, the surround sound element is #1. music coming from all sides of the room is beautiful. #1
