Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech X-140 2.0 Speakers

Customer Review: Crystal Clear Sound
Summary: 5 Stars

These speakers rock! The sound is very crisp and clean. I heard background singers on my cd's I have never heard before with either my Bose speakers or Sennheiser headset. All of the plugs and connecting cords are permanently attached to the back of the speakers and are much thicker than most. In addition, the power plug is a normal 3 prong instead of a fat dc converter. If you are looking for booming bass that fills a room these are not for you, but if you are looking for a quality pair of desktop speakers with clear detailed sound that also work great with a walkman or mp3 I highly recommend them.

Customer Review: Very Impressed
Summary: 5 Stars

For reference, I've own/ed

Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 speakers
Logitech Z-680 5.1 speakers
Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers
Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers
Logitech S-220 2.1 speakers
Logitech LS21 2.1 speakers

I am a person who values clarity in highs and mid-range over bass. So I will tell you right now: these speakers blow the LS21 and S-220 out of the water. For simple/casual computing, music listening, and YouTubing, this set is perfect. The sound easily fills a small room.

I'd keep the "Tone" dial maxed though for some bass simulation.

Customer Review: Great, simple speakers
Summary: 5 Stars

I got these on a Black Friday lightening deal for $15, but I think I would happily pay $30 for them. My laptop has horrible sound quality/level, and I appreciate that it was just a matter of pulling these out of the box and plugging them in...couldn't be simpler. I am far from a sound expert, but I think the average person would be very satisfied with how they sound. I cranked them all the way up and blasted Mannheim Steamroller, and there was no tinny sound or crackling like you'll sometimes hear. I would definitely recommend to friends who just want a simple and easy set of speakers.

Customer Review: Great sound for an awesome price
Summary: 5 Stars

I knew I wanted logitech speakers because I like the brand. When I bought these I thought they'd be a bit smaller, but even so I was still surprised at the large sound that came out of them. They're not tinny at all and actually sound good enough for me to use with my iPod and not be disappointed by them. Nice, full sound for small speakers. The price is awesome so I definitely recommend these. Logitech scores again. These are really good for the price, there's no reason to spend $75 on desktop speakers when you can get something that works this well for under $30.

Customer Review: Another one happy with these speakers.
Summary: 5 Stars

I agree with all the good things said in the reviews I have read.

I am hard of hearing. My hearing aids do not like a lot of audio stuff I try to listen to, like phones, earphones, etc. My laptop's speakers almost do it, but the addition of these speakers have made a world of difference. I engage in a video chat via AIM daily and I can hear the person I am talking to perfectly. I do not normally use my computer to listen to music, but just as a test I inserted a CD and enjoyed listening to Pavoratti sing several arias and the sound was great.
