Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Wingman Force 3DCustomer Review: Nice, ergonomic, OK price, easy to setup, no surprises. Summary: 5 Stars
The sensitivity is quite amazing, it especially noticeable when calibrating - even the slightest movement is detected. The direction-of-view (or POV) switch works very well, and the other buttons are well placed both on the actual stick itself and on the base (for your left hand). I get rather sweaty when playing these games, however, and I think they need to cover this in some sort of non-slip anti-sweat coating. I also found that although it is excellent for flying anything, it doesn't control cars all that well, perhaps you'd be better off getting a steering wheel if that will be your main use. I don't think it is this model of joystick exactly that causes cars to go all over the place, probably it is the reaction time, which is slower for a one-handed joystick than a two-handed steering wheel.
Customer Review: May the force be with you! Summary: 5 Stars
Back when 3D cards came out I swore I would never get one as it clearly meant signalling to everyone that you cared enough about wasting your time to actually pay for something that could not be used for serious activity....but naturally, I eventually got one and never looked back. I also used to feel the same way about force feedback. Really, I would say, I'm after what's on the screen, my imagination will do the rest. But here I am, at 1 a.m. with my truly amazing new joystick, trying to keep my WWII fighter plane from rolling over in the heavy winds as I bore in on a pack of bombers. As I pull the trigger, a rumble is heard and my arm trembles from the recoil.....THIS is fun!Installation was a total breeze, by the way, so why wait?
Customer Review: Great Joystick Summary: 5 Stars
Well well well, what can you really say about a joystick? It has a graeat feel to it, what I mean by this is that it is very comfortable to hold. All the buttons are easily accessible and it has a throttle under the handle that is useful for those times when you just don't have the time to reach to the keyboard and idle the thrust on the keys. Another thing I like about it is that it has a yaw control. There are four buttons on the top that you can hit fast with a flick of the thumb. Overall it is the best joystick and most universal one I have ever used. A great value and another great product by logitech.
Customer Review: This is a very great product Summary: 5 Stars
I had this joystick for about 3 years now...and so far nutting has gone wrong with it. It has very good feed-back...and i should know, I play Jane's F-15 with this joystick and it hasn't been a disapointment for me. Those other people that have problems with their joystick shold have registered on logictech.com and would have acess to a warranty if it started to have problems. Well in closing this is one of the best joysticks ever...and if your in-to flight simulations u should strongly consider this joystick.
Customer Review: A great package Summary: 5 Stars
I'm really impressed with this joystick. The force feedback is good, the layout and feel are good, the look is good. Intallation was really easy. The only problem is it is maybe a little too rattly at times. Its build isn't as solid as the microsoft versions, but then look at the price...almost 1/3 of the price. For me that really makes the choice obvious. The small gains you get are not nearly worth the extra cash. This joystick is the choice I recommend.
