I recently purchased a new laptop with a very sensitive touch pad. I have been in need of a wireless mouse for sometime. The VX Revolution Cordless Mouse by Logitech is a great wireless mouse. It comes in a very secure package. I admit I had some difficulties getting the mouse out of the package but this was just a minor obstacle. Once the mouse was free I installed the double A battery which was included. There is a small attachment you plug into your USB port for operation of the mouse. Inside of the package is a software disc for installation purposes. The mouse was up and running on my laptop within minutes.
It's nice to prop up my laptop and sit back and surf the web from a distance. The mouse also is great when using precision programs like Dreamweaver and Photoshop. The scroll wheel makes it easy to scroll through documents when reading. There are many features to this mouse and it comes with a lengthy user guide. I admit I haven't tried out every feature but it serves my purpose just fine.

This is my second piurchase of a VX Revolution for notebook. I also have the larger version of this product for my desktop.
Tne VX Revolution worked so well for me that I replaced my wifes microsoft cordless laser mouse with this current purchase. The microsoft mouse on my wifes desktop kept acting eratically whenever I would type or mouse on my desktop (both computers are in the same room). Needless to say she complained whenever I typed or moused, so microsoft had to get the boot.
VX Revolution's are excellent. Inserting the USB adapter into the mouse for stoprage shuts off popwer to the mouse as does long period of non movement. Batteries (last 2-3 months. Pointing, etc., are all standard for a good mouse. Laser works well and is acurate. I do not use any of the other buttons besides left/right click and wheel, but those do not get in my way. Requires no software installation for XP and Vista. Got the best price and delivery at Amazon.

This is my 3rd optical-related mouse, and my 2nd wireless one. Have used an MS wired optical mouse, and this is replacing that mouse for my laptop.
The shape is very comfortable, though it is designed to be used only by the right hand, which I feel limits it a bit. Even though, this design choice also makes it extremely comfortable after getting used to the shape and button position.
For a wireless mouse, it has excellent response and speed, both in movement and click action. Before purchasing it, I was a bit confused on how to use the hyper-scroll wheel. After trying it out for a while, I find it an excellent addition while working on those long Powerpoint presentations for class, as well as web pages with lots of content.
Battery life has been good up to now, but I can't really say how long it'll stay that way, since I've only been using it (heavily) for a couple of weeks now.
Still, I heartily recommend this product.

Kinda tough to write meaningful things about a mouse but I bought this one for myself to use at work, as the replacement for an older Logitech wireless mouse that was end-of-lifecycle.
This mouse is not as small as you might think. I am 6 ft and 200 lbs and this fits comfortable in my hands (no I do not have little hands!).
Also, my desk is high gloss cherry wood and my old mouse would go awol once in a while due to the darkness and grain. This mouse is flawless an precisely controllable.
The battery last very long as it goes to powersave when you do not use it.
When I travel I put the usb dongle in the back of the mouse for storage which shuts off the power and keeps me from losing the dongle part.
This mouse if also rather heavy which makes it easier to control when moving around as it helps make smooth movements.
Loved it so much I bought the same for my wife (she loves it too) and my kids (a tad too big for a 10 yr olds' hands).

This is my favorite Logitech mouse. I have MX Rev, MX 1100, VX Notebook and now the VX Rev. The most comfortable before this one was easily the MX Rev. It was like a fine sports car in a class with Yugos... but the wheel broke and its construction seems to be lacking. Maybe it is constructed fine, but Logitech seems to keep making things even better. The VX Rev is smaller but still my choice for an everyday, every-time mouse. Well thought out layout. Comfortable from second one. My only complaint is that they stopped making it! Are you kidding???!!! What a complete shame!! I want a few more.
