Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech VX Revolution Ergonomic Design Cordless 2.4 GHz Wireless Laser Mouse for Notebooks/Laptops/PCs with Hyper-Fast ScrollingCustomer Review: Well, that was interesting... Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second VX Revolution. After I dropped the first one too many times--down stairs, no less--I decided I could no longer stand the way a window would bob when I scrolled to the top, so I ordered this one. (I looked at newer models, but this is the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned.)
It has worked perfectly for me (the old one still works too, actually, and the bobbing has mostly stopped), but two days ago, Logitech outdid itself in proving quality of workmanship and materials.
I dropped this poor mouse in my coffee cup. My full coffee cup. Filled not just with coffee (not so bad), but with cream (worse) and raw sugar (disaster). I figured I had nothing to lose, so I pulled out the battery, rinsed out the mouse (with tap water), and set it out to dry.
Today, I figured it was as dry as it could get, so I reinserted the battery, plugged in the micro-receiver, and here I am, with my après-bath VX Revolution in perfect working order.
I have not always loved Logitech (software leaves something to be desired, IMO), but I love this mouse.
Customer Review: Best mouse I've ever used. Summary: 5 Stars
After getting a laptop, I needed a mouse to go with it, and after alot of research, ended up getting this one. Boy, am I glad I did.
Everything that needs to be said has been said by now. It's got like... 10 buttons, all reprogrammable for general use and able to be programmed for different functions in different programs. Zoom slider switch, works for text, images, audio/video editors, etc. The ratchet/free wheeling center wheel is amazing. Search button rules.
I don't know what surfaces people are trying to use this thing on that aren't working, it works on stacks of CDs, my wall, the leg of my jeans, a blanket, my carpet, the keyboard of my laptop, and several other surfaces which I just now tested out of curiosity.
Adjustable sensitivity which can be changed for different programs, stowable USB receiver, very very long battery life on one AA, the list of great things goes on and on. If you're even a little tech savvy you can take full advantage of this mouse and its many, many features.
Absolutely CANNOT recommend this mouse highly enough.
Customer Review: Truly a masterpiece! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for a desktop use about a month ago and all I can say is I'm truly satisfied. The seamless scrolling feature is more than useful when I'm going over 100 pages of legal documents, and clicking is solid enough while remaining silent that I don't have to worry about waking someone up while I'm working home at night. The ergonomic design fits well in my hand and I hardly feel tired, and the programmable buttons are really easy to set up. Since it uses only one AA battery, it's light and simple. I heard about signal interferences between wireless router and other wireless devices, but since I set my router's channel on 12, it never happened.
My only complaint is the location of the hyper-scrolling switch on the bottom of the unit, which gets randomly turned on and off by the surface friction. I wish it was placed somewhere next to the scrolling wheel instead.
Overall, it is a solid product with a pack of useful features. I'd recommend this to those who need a precise mouse and go over lengthy documents or websites frequently.
Customer Review: Great for desktops too Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my new laptop and loved it. It is very smooth and small, but not tiny like some notebook mice. It fits my hand perfectly and I found the button placements to be very intuitive.
I've recently started using this as my desktop mouse as well. I bought a new desktop PC and found Vista is not compatible with my old mouse and keyboard set (Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite). It's sad that the Microsoft equipment isn't compatible with their own hardware, but I found them to be completely unusable even after installing the patch that supposedly fixed the issues.
I started using the Logitech VX notebook mouse thinking it was temporary until Microsoft released a patch that actually DID fix the issues with my old MS mouse. But now I would not switch back. The Logitech is so much smoother and more comfortable. The only question I have now is if I want to purchase the full size version of this Logitech mouse so I can give this one back to my notebook or if I want to buy a second notebook version and have one for each.
Customer Review: The best mouse for your notebook. Beats lots of desktop ones too. Summary: 5 Stars
I'm away from home right now and I forgot my other logitech mouse at home. So I decided to get myself a new one since I'll be away from home for a few months. My other mouse is an optical and it works very well and I only would get aggravated at it for one thing. It was hard to use while on the bed...as you would think it would be. So I decided to try this laser mouse. Man I can move the clicker now from any survace it seems like. Definitely love this mouse. Also the design is extremely comfortable. The size of it is just a tad smaller than a regular mouse in my opinion. I was happy it wasnt a wee sized mouse. The USB plug-in is nicer than my older mouse also. Instead of using your thumb to slide the USB out, you just press a button to pop it out about halfway and then just pull it out. The new scroll option is neat. I think it's to fast for internet pages, but for things such as iTunes, it's great. You can scroll through thousands of songs in one quick spin of the wheel.
All in all, I highly recommend this mouse.
