Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse (Blue)Customer Review: The Better Bluetooth Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I've had multiple bluetooth mice, most of them notebook or travel mice. This outperforms the Microsoft versions by far. It is sturdy and has a good feel in the hand. The mouse is very responsive, smooth, and has an on/off button. The size is just about right and the weight gives it a good feel in the hand. Connection setup was a breeze initially and I've never had any disconnection problems since. Highly recommended!
I have owned this mouse for almost a year and it's still working like a charm. Battery life is awesome. I never have trouble connecting with bluetooth. I turn the mouse on and within seconds, my laptop picks it up and I'm able to use it. I take it with me all the time for travel use and I even use it at home when not at my desk. The only downside is that it doesn't have a backward/forward button. I'm willing to skip the extra buttons though, because the quality, responsiveness, and connectivity of the V470 beats the competition.
Customer Review: Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I originally was going to buy this mouse from another online retailer, but decided enough is enough. I've been without a mouse on my laptop for a little more than a year and when I do design work, it's hard to get something precise with just the built-in track pad. I bought the mouse at a local computer electronics store. I was originally looking for the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 Mac/Windows, retail package of it not the OEM. I wasn't able to find it but stumbled upon this Logitech mouse and at $24.99, it was a great price and has been working great ever since I bought it. After adding the device to the computer it only takes less than 4 seconds for the mouse to connect to the laptop after pressing the connect button on the bottom of the mouse. Overall, great mouse, just like all Logitech products, they're great. I would highly recommended it to anyone.
Customer Review: logitech v470 bluetooth mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I tried the v470 after using the microsoft usb mouse and being dissapointed with its performance. I have a new lenovo thinkpad laptop with bluetooth and vista os and the v470 worked like a dream. I did not install the v470 software, just turned on the mouse and paired it with the laptop and vista installed drivers and it has been working perfectly for about a month now. There is no lag time when the laptop comes out of hibernation and even though the mouse has an off switch i have only used it once, just to see if the laptop would see it when i powered it back on and it did with no problems. As for battery life, as i said its been installed for a month now and still going strong even though i only powered it off once. I,m sure that anyone who poweres the mouse offf will get months of use from one set of batteries, so that sould nor be an issue. In closing i would highly recomend the v470 to anyone with a bluetooth laptop running vista. Dommy48
Customer Review: Great mouse, wrong software Summary: 5 Stars
My 1-year-old laptop lacked built-in Bluetooth (d'oh!) but this mouse works fine with a Zoom Bluetooth PC Card. I leave the card in the otherwise useless slot, and voila--no more fiddling with my dongle. HOWEVER--the CD supplied with the mouse contains Logitech's SetPoint software, which apparently only works with a keyboard/mouse combination. The program wouldn't even start up. I uninstalled it, and the mouse worked fine without it. All I needed to set up the connection was the utility for the Bluetooth card. I find that this mouse gives much smoother scrolling than the Microsoft wireless mouse I was using, which costs about the same and uses an annoying USB transceiver dongle that you have to remove and store under the mouse to turn the batteries off--after just a year, the mash-switch got wonky. But the V470 has a real, on-off switch and a push-button "connect" switch. No problem, no fumbling.
Customer Review: Excellent mouse for Netbooks Summary: 5 Stars
When I first started to use my new Samsung NC10 Netbook I utilized the touchpad. Over several days of use, I just did not feel comfortable with the touchpad and started to utilize a conventional mouse to interface with the NC10. It worked very well, but I wanted a smaller version of the mouse and found it in the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse. The mouse installation was very simple and I really did not have to make any special adjustments for it to be useful immediately. The mouse does go to sleep easily and I use a touch on the roller wheel to awaken it. That eliminates the large movement in the cursor that some users have reported. Overall my experience with the mouse has been very positive. I have yet to go through my first battery with the battery level still at "good" level after several days of pretty heavy use. I would highly recommend it.
