Customer Review: Trusty mouse going on three years

I've had this mouse almost for three years and I've used it on two computers. This mouse is excellent for a few reasons. It is small and portable but not so small that I can make a fist around it like some of those travel mouses. It uses 2 AA batteries that I've replaced maybe once a year. It has an on/off switch to conserve battery. It came with a pouch that will protect it from scratches but not impact, but I have not had a problem with that yet.
Its Bluetooth connection has been reliable (the first computer's not so much) and quick to respond. Due to the Bluetooth connection, I don't have to either have it connected to my computer physically, nor do I have to take up a USB slot for a receiver.
It has a comfortable shape, and I have even used it as a presenter for PowerPoint presentations because it fits in my hand nicely, it's discreet, and light. It does not click very loudly or dramatically. I have never had a problem with its sensitivity. It has a sleek design that caught my eye when it was first given to me.
I highly recommend this mouse if you don't want to buy a mouse again for a long long time.

This mouse works great! I was a little hesitant when I read from fellow reviewers that their bluetooth connection kept dropping. However, it has been a little over a month now, with no connectivity issues whatsoever. I use this mouse for my media center, so I had to purchase a motorola USB bluetooth receiver (which may explain why I have had no connectivity issues vice using a built-in receiver fabricated into a laptop)
The response of the mouse is also fantastic! We move the mouse on our micro-fiber couch, the floor, and on a table, with hardly any discernable difference in the tracking motion. It's small enough to fit comfortably in your hand, without being so small that you have to curl your fingers to click the buttons. The included proprietary software has lots of tools to customize the tracking, speed, connectivity, and button/wheel customization. Using the connect wizard in the software makes it a breeze to setup, and works much better at keeping the connection alive and active vice connecting manually in Windows bluetooth devices. Comes with a nice travel bag to ensure you don't get any gunk on the laser lens.

This is the best laptop mouse. Period. And here's why:
- Laser, so it tracks on more surfaces than optical. Exactly what you need when you use your laptop in different places.
- Standard AA batteries, so if they run out at the wrong time you can simply switch them out with some spares. No waiting for Li-Ion batteries to recharge.
- The battery life is as good as you can get. I use this mouse all day long (I work on my laptop), and it takes 2-3 months for them to run out.
- The shape is perfect. Most small mice are awkward to hold and can cause your fingers to hurt after a while (especially if you have big hands). But here they made the mouse a tiny bit bigger, and it curves downwards to better match the shape of your hand when holding a small mouse.
- Bluetooth connectivity means you don't need a dongle. And if your laptop doesn't have bluetooth integrated, there are several tiny, tiny dongles out there that you can plug in and forget, and they won't break off (I had to get one myself).

I've had Logitech mice over the years and always liked them. My last mouse was an optical bluetooth model. It was alright, but it wasn't wonderful. It was a bit klunky, if that makes any sense. This new V470 bluetooth Laser is really sweet! It just feels wonderful in the hand.
I've got a Dell Latitude D820 with XP Pro and I just right-clicked on the bluetooth icon in the status bar and did a search for the new mouse. Quick & easy. Didn't need the included CD at all. The feel of this guy is wonderful. And who doesn't like the deep blue color, eh? It's great that the cursor really moves across the screen. Covers a lot of real estate and makes it easy to locate the cursor.
I had concerns about the pause after the mouse rests a bit. Not a problem! You hardly notice it. This is absolutely the BEST mouse I've ever had. Very sexy! It just feels wonderful and I love the size. Not too small at all. Can't understand all the fuss budgets who wrote critical reviews. This is a great mouse. I'm really glad I went ahead and bought it.

It works great. It is light and comfortable. Does its job with no wire to bother it's use. I works on every surface I have tried including my sleeve, my pants leg, the carpet, a painted surface, table cloth, etc. I have no problems with it being sluggish when awakening from sleep like others have described. It is actually very responsive. I installed it with the disc provided and had no problems . It worked fine. I noticed an update was available so I downloaded and installed the update. No problems. I set it up the way I wanted the buttons to work.It still worked fine. The next day when I restarted my laptop, the mouse lit the blue light indicating it was connected but nothing worked. Nothing I did helped. I uninstalled the mouse and redid everything except the download of the update. It has worked very well ever since. Do not use the update and it works very well. I have yet to experience any battery problems. I keep it turned off when not in use. I recommend it highly. I will never use a wired USB mouse on a laptop again.
