I have had 3 other kinds of microphones. A headset that sounded fuzzy, a small one that you have to hold that has okay sound quality, and another desktop one that was flimsy, broke, AND didn't sound that great. Not only is this one the best sounding mic I've had, it's the best looking and the sturdiest. It records very clear and also records good from a small distance.
So if you are looking for a great microphone, this is the one. The only thing I don't love about it is that is hooks up with a usb port, so I had to get an extension, but that is hardly a bad thing. ^_^
So Logitech lives up to it's name and delivers yet another high quality, reliable tech product.

Installation of this microphone was a breeze under Vista. I simply plugged it into one of the USB ports, Vista recognized it and installed the drivers. All I had to do was to adjust the recording level (the default was set very low, at a level of 9 out of 100). All you have to do is follow the instructions that come with the microphone if you aren't sure how to make adjustments.
The recording quality is fine, as well. It records to a .wma file in CD quality as the default.
My only complaint: the person who designed the packaging is a moron. It comes in one of those awful plastic shells that are hard to open and cut. But the microphone itself is well worth it.

I purchased this product because of the tremendous reviews I had heard about it. Once I received it in the mail, all I had to do was plug it into a USB port of my computer, and voila! It's installed!
This mic is definitely gamer quality, which is the main reason I got it. I like using TeamSpeak a lot, and I've always had compliments on how great and clear my voice was coming through on the other end. It is also EXCELLENT to use with Instant Messaging and Chat programs, and works seamlessly with Windows. Again, I stress the sheer perfect quality that this mic will deliver. It is WELL worth the price.
Purchase this product now! You WON'T be disappointed!

This is a GREAT product and it is great for people who have trouble with electronics, it comes assembled in the package and the instructions are easy to follow, once you have it up and running, the quality is wonderful, the mic swivels back and forth so you can have easy acces to it, it also comes with a long cord so you are not limited to a small area, the only problem though is when you touch the mic. If you are recording and you touch the base or the mic itself you can hear it in the recording, otherwise ita a wonderful product!!(i use it for voice action on youtube) I would recomend this to anyone!!
OH and its very affordable considering how great it is!

I use this for a lot of online gaming, and it works awesomely. I keep it about a foot away from me and it picks up clear sound. This mic also cancels background noise very well and adjusts depending on your voice volume. If I have the dishwasher going in the background and talk clearly into the mic it will not pickup the dishwasher at all even though I have to wear headphones just to hear my game. If I sit back a ways then it will pickup the background noise because it has to listen more. If you keep it close to your face it can pickup wind but if you keep it off to the side it can still be close but not catch the wind of your breath and works wonderfully.
